Angelina is one of the most addictive singers I have ever listened to, & one of the very few, that can pull you right into the song, making you feel, every word, every note, & every emotion. ❤️💙 I always have this feeling that Angelina is not only channeling some of these late great singers, but that they also pass through her, when she is singing their song ❤️💙 A rare beauty, in every sense of the word ❤️💙 If there was ever a reason to believe in something greater than us, or in reincarnation, Angelina Jordan is it ❤️💙 Loved your reaction!!! ❤️💙

That outfit is cloth made from paintings by her Grandma. You'll see Angelina wearing other originals and her Grandma's artwork is also in some of her videos. Some of us listen to her every day...something about her gives people chills, makes us cry. When she has a new song I have to wrap my arms around myself to listen to it. Angelina is Norwegian, so English is not her first language. We think her accent is a little Southern, possibly from all the old Jazz she grew up watching on KZbin. She was singing at 18 months and reading lyrics at 6 in a recording studio. She writes her own songs, plays piano, guitar with her covers. We know she plays flute and violin but have never seen yet. Crazy nervous waiting for her first concerts....!!

Hi Missy, even if you already got a lot of comments with good information allow me sending you my "standard firsties comment" (SFC) - may be you can find some for you new information in it ;-) So, here it is (a wee bit personalized): Welcome to the universe of Angelina Jordan and thanks a billion for this llively and professional reaction to her - I'm sure to hear more reactions to her from you! ...because it is... ...too late! From now on you are assimilated in Angelinas entourage! Resistance is futile... And here is a video where it is explained (with English subtitles) why she performs barefoot: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d16yfH-pobRqars and here an Interview in the Norwegian TV (with English subtitles) from 2015 after she has published her book about the story why she is barefoot when performing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5SmfXePZaiGkJo In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield"). So she is a real all-rounder and I think all her fans are eager to see and hear what she is doing next... All the other things like more recommendation, chronological playlists and so on you can read in the comments of the mega-fans like Fernando F., Rusty (AJ videos in chronological order kzbin.info/door/55am_6Y5-Fj4ri8xOInstA), Andy Schnell, ... And a little Question: When you react to her cover "I put a spell on you" b/w studio version at 9yo (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKipnaJ5hb2tedU - btw. like here she made most of her cover arrangements by herself! ..at the beginning she made her lastchanges for the piano arrangement and gave her "wishes" to the band leader..) it would be nice to react in the same reaction video IN ADVANCE to the original from Screemin' Jay Hawkins (from 1956 - Live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZyqgZumq9anhcU or another version of it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/paOxoXtsnt6ioas and here a version from 1990 in Tokyo - I feel, this is like the version Angelina has taken as the model, but I don't know it ( ;-) ): kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJOckppul8iblbc or as Audio-Studio-Version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmPGlaF3itumrZo) that's real fun :-D - and than you will find out that Angelinas cover is a real tribute to Jay Hawkins :-D Btw. I read somwhere that her grandma was in person at a concert of SJH in Japan (as she, AJs mother and uncle lived there some years - AJs granpa is Japanese) and there AJs granma bought this candle as a souvenier ;) ...I hope this story isn't a HOAX :)) Thanks a billion again for your reaction! … and see you soon with your next AJ reactions - with greetings from Berlin/Germany :-D Best regards Andreas

Missy thank you for reacting to Angelina Jordan, a music prodigy specializing in vocals. 13 year old Angelina created a genius arrangement for one of the most beloved songs on Earth then delivered a vocal performance for the ages. Please take the time to read the biography I compiled for my all time favorite musical artist. Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman, who has chosen to keep his life private. Angelina started singing around 18 months of age after listening to Whitney Houston on KZbin. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz. Mery Zamani is Iranian and was considered a prodigy as an artist and poet and married a Japanese man who passed away in 2019. Angelina speaks Norwegian, Farsi, English, Japanese and Swedish. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training starting around age 4. Angelina plays the piano, violin, guitar and flute and also paints. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage. Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Angelina at age 6 and 7 did record a few songs in a recording studio, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 6 or 7 year old. Angelina is blessed with a deep voice with a beautiful rich tone and has always made her sound much older than her age. Many compare her voice to that of Amy Winehouse. Her voice is highly emotional which is very rare for a young girl and some people can’t accept that such a soulful voice can come from someone who has not had enough life experience. One vocal coach on KZbin recently said, “If you have a song and want to have more emotion added to that song, have Angelina sing it.” At age 8, (please refer to replies by erik to a comment I made on JHTreacts video on 6/7/21 who provides proof Angelina had already turned 8) Angelina’s audition on NGT was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. The next performance on NGT was her cover of Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on KZbin went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. On June 27, 2018 Jordan performed “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. Angelina performed on America’s Got Talent The Champions which aired in January 2020. She earned the Golden Buzzer for her performance of her unique arrangement of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. She sang her cover of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road in the Finals but didn’t make it into the final 5 contestants. There is much debate over how and why Angelina was eliminated. Angelina has covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, all of which are available on KZbin. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On KZbin, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as a fan put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. In August 2020, her manager and uncle Michael Astar announced Angelina has signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. On 11/6/20 her first single on Republic Records, Million Miles written by Angelina, was released. She dedicated it to anyone who has lost a loved one. Her 2nd single, 7th Heaven is a jazzy, upbeat, inspirational song and was also written by Angelina. Angelina’s family requested Republic Records to allow her to have as normal a childhood as possible. This is why Republic Records has not promoted her first two singles. Angelina Jordan is a humble, compassionate young lady of very few words when she is not singing. She is on videos saying she wants to sing for the entire world and also that she wants to improve the quality of life for all the children on Earth. She has helped to raise millions of dollars for children’s charities and environmental causes. Musicians who have worked with her have been quoted saying Angelina is among the most talented musicians they have worked with and she is the boss in the room when rehearsing. Remarkable for a girl of few words when not singing. For Angelina, it is all about the music and not her. Personally, I find Angelina’s voice the most soulful and emotional voice of my lifetime. Angelina as a person, inspires me to be a better person and live longer to listen to her sing for as long as I can.

Welcome to Angelina's world. She is an extraordinary young artist with over 140 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 and has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance. Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 15, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cyrus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. I have included some of her live rehearsal sessions which actually blow away other performers produced releases. This is just a short list and other fans of Angelina will have the same length list with different songs. I have rarely heard one of her performances that I have thought was not up to par. Thank you, Missy, for your great first reaction to Angelina. Oh, my friend, you are in for the ride of your life! You will be inundated with other comments here that will give you excellent information about Angelina, her prodigious talent and her huge humanitarian heart. I was a music educator and performing musician for 40+ years (now retired) and I never heard anyone like Angelina. I have followed her since 2014 when she won Norway's Got Talent and her innate musical sensibilities and versatility are off the charts. We all know your main purpose as a professional musician is to react to the performers (and you do it extremely well) but, let me just say, the more reactions you do to her, the more you will see your subscriptions, likes, views and comments go through the roof! That’s what KZbin is looking for from you. Just know that Angelina’s millions of fans around the world are very, VERY loyal and will follow you to the ends of the Earth for as long as you continue to react to her!

There's so much more from Angelina to explore and I hope you'll take the time to watch some of her other recordings. She's not just a fantastic vocalist, but also a musician and an artist in it's true sense. Hard to believe, but you could watch Angelina in five or six genres giving you performances like this that just stop you in your tracks. Her vocal talent is stunning, but also is her musicality, her arranging, and her ability to mesmerize you with her emotion and devotion to the lyrics. To see Angelina in a completely different style, watch her own composition released a few months ago: Seventh Heaven. It’s upbeat jazz with an infectious beat and positive message. She is completely addictive. And, as many will mention, watching Angelina at 9 with her own arrangement of I Put a Spell on You (the b&w studio version) will show you, perhaps, the most memorable music video you can remember. She gives us old-school blues authentically and perfectly with a voice and attitude from the 50’s. Just start listening.

As you listen to more of Angelina's music, you will find that her lower range is extremely rich and dynamic. If you check out her Million Years Ago or How Great Thou Art covers you will get a really good feel for her lower range. She routinely goes down to a D3 and up to a G#5. She is one of the most versatile and dynamic vocalists you will ever hear. I really hope to hear more reactions to this awesome young artist.

Angelina indeed has incredible control over her instrument: amazing dynamic range, agility, and melismas (and, by the way, her tessitura is contralto). Nevertheless, it's her musicianship that really makes her a prodigy. This was a beautiful arrangement, executed in a laid-back jazzy style that no one has ever attempted before, and it's all Angelina. And she's 13 in this video! Of course, she had already won Norway's Got Talent (which she entered at age 7) and recorded an unbelievable cover of "I Put a Spell on You" (Screamin' Jay Hawkins) at age 9 -- again, her own arrangement. Please do more AJ reactions and keep the full range of her talent in perspective -- from jazz vocal stylist/arranger to masterful technical ability and control. We look forward to seeing more!

Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (135+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Michael Jackson to Gloria Gaynor to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Frank Sinatra to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice! If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come. Wait until you find out why she performs barefooted. Why God has performed the miracle of touching the world with one of such talent, musical IQ, commitment, and generosity as Angelina we can wonder but we must all marvel. Welcome aboard the AJ train! You have a new subscriber, but BEWARE! This is a long comment. I hope you have the patience to read to the end. Thank you for discovering and reacting my favourite singer. Simon Cowell commented that he had never heard that version, and he was correct, as Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelina-fying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette, her sister and then her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. Heidi Klum hit the Golden Buzzer. So Angelina went straight to the Final, where she performed Elton John's classic "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road".¡ My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent, and I didn't expect much from a 7-year-old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". Well, it was a seven-year-old child who appeared on the stage. She was small and had wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were baby teeth. My first surprise was how she confidently answered questions put to her by one of the judges. She showed no signs of nerves and when she was asked what song she was going to perform, she declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Then she gestured off-stage for the technician to start the music and started singing. Yeah! The body of the 7-year-old child was still there, but the voice wasn't. It was that of a 40-50 year old black woman who had been singing for decades. That first moment of surprise has been experienced many times since then. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZbin and in the years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz, Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers, like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Lana del Ray, Avicii, Bill Withers, Gloria Gaynor, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others: in total over 120 different songs and 82 different performers. She takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. She never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves, but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener. When you listen to her, there is the feeling that you are the object of her attention. She is singing for you alone. I have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What I will never understand is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing. Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to kzbin.info/door/hM_lpT4shdnsez93QMJPig you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio, either with backing music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her," She is completely transparent to the world. I'll refrain from suggesting other performances for you to feature on your channel, other than the one which many suggest should be your next reaction, and her latest cover. Here are the links: age 9 - I put a spell on you (tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins) : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKipnaJ5hb2tedU age 14 - Billy Jean (Michael Jackson): kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqGZaJ5vrNBlg9k One thing which several of the new reactors - and those who have returned to her, have decided, is to follow her career from the start. If you should decide to do the same, go to Rusty Shackleford's website and look at the list he has compiled of Angelina songs in chronological order. I really enjoyed your reaction. Angelina Jordan is an artist in many ways, the unique arrangement of this song is her own work, the colourful outfit she wore was made by her grandma and herself. The images depicted were paintings by her grandma, they were used as illustrations in the book that Angelina wrote, she became the youngest published author in Norway at the age of 9, relating to a true story from when she was 6 years old - the story explains why she performs bare foot. There are a large number of performances on KZbin, from 6 years old to the now 15 year old. Apart from the beautiful tones of her voice, her strength is her ability to interpret songs, to bring out the story and express emotions. She has also written a number of songs. Apart from the USA, Angelina has performed in many European and Asian countries. Angelina is always very relaxed on stage, she just loves to sing!

Thank you for your genuine reaction. Here is an introduction to Angelina for you and your viewers who might not be familiar with her. Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong. Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview last year he talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down. Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan. Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions. At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities. Angelina Jordan has about 140 songs in her repertoire. Late last year she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. She will wow and surprise you all the time. 15 years old today who is an excellent role model for today’s youth and her best is yet to come. Thank you for reading and Keep up the good work.

Her outfit is comprised of various prints of Angelina’s grandma, Mery’s paintings. Angelina and her grandma, Mery made this outfit. Grandma, Mery was also a child prodigy. She is a renowned painter and poet and she has played a key role in Angelina’s love of jazz music and nurturing her love of singing. At the end of Angelina’s performance the camera points to grandma Mery, Angelina’s mom, her sister Julia and her uncle, (whom is her manager).

She is a great person. She is 18 years old now. She has written over 100 songs. She is charitable and cares about others. Angelina can sing quite low and high. Catch her Gloomy Sunday song at 7-8. Missy, you did very well before you went into shock about halfway through the song. lol Welcome to the wonderful world of Angelina Jordan! If you stay with her she will continue to impress you with her abilities. BTW, she did the arrangement for this song and she rearranges all the covers she does (well over 100+ of them). In fact, the term 'covers' should not be used when describing what she does because she makes the songs her own (even though she is paying respect to the original song and the artist). You spoke about tension. Angelina doesn't know what that word means. When you watch this over and over again, take note of her poise and confidence singing to, perhaps, the largest audience in the world, at 13 years old. You will be receiving tons of data from her fans ('Angels') about her music and what kind of a human being she is. Missy, I am so happy for you to join us in your admiration of her and you will love the journey you are about to embark on!

Got here late to the party & I see Angelina's "Angels" have filled you in on her background. I discovered her over 3 years ago & can't stop listening to her. In fact, I have stopped listening to many other singers I used to like, because now they sound flat & boring compared to AJ. I recommend listening to something current from her before you go back to her beginnings at 7, 8 or 9. Two weeks ago she released her latest cover of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean & it's my new favorite performance. Don't expect a true "cover," but rather a total re-interpretation to make it a new song in her JazzyPop style. Thumbs up & subed for more Angelina & very nice analysis of this masterpiece.

Hi Missy & thank you for great reaction & breakdown. I give new Angie reactors a welcome pack, please read. She chooses all her own songs & does all her own arrangements ever since she was very young, even when she did Screaming Jay Hawkins “I put a spell on you” at barely 9, even at 7 & 8 on NGT (Norway’s Got Talent). On AGT-C Angie made her outfit from silkscreen patterns of her grandma's art work. She makes several of her other outfits for shows & concerts too. She also paints great, plays 5 instruments & speaks & sings 4+ languages, English being her 3rd. Angie turned 15 on 1-10-21 & she’s around (close to 2 meters) 6 ft tall. Angie is a very kind, giving, loving, respectful, humble & a big hearted Christian girl. She always sings barefoot when performing & she wrote a book about it at 9 called “Between Two Worlds” & she was/is the youngest to be published in Norway. (Queen was so blown away with it that they posted it & gave her the rights to it.) (Why does Angie performs barefoot, Angelina's short little interview explaining why she performs barefoot. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y5SmfXePZaiGkJo) Others will explain this or you can look it up Angie has arranged over 140 covers & written 5 songs & even had 2 written for her from other artists. Angie’s mastered over 10 genre’s already. One of her nicknames is “The barefoot princess with a 1000 voices & a Mona Lisa smile” (I do hope you buy & download her music & help support her art & music) Angie never sings a song the same way twice, so you could say they’ll all be 1st time reactions. You'll want to check out kzbin.info he has all of Angie's songs in order. (He has over 29k subs, this is so you’ll know which one) You might want to start from the very beginning were it all started. “I who have nothing” by Ben E. The outfit is her live story, painted by her grandma, Mery Zamany (famous painter and poetess from Iran), copied then designed and sewed by Angelina. Since a toddler she listened to jazz, she hated to sing kids songs. From age of 4 she started in earnest with music academies, first in Oslo, then LA. She studies ALL Genres, including classics. She could also sing opera. Her big idol is Billie Holliday, as told by herself. Stay save and sound. German Greetings.

You have no idea of what you just connected to. Angelina's performance that night plus Rthe fact that she arranged the song was unbelievable. When Angelina sings...emotion just drips out of her and washes over you. She is a very brave singer...from being a tiny little girl she reached for the great jazz singers..Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday....That is where she seemed to get her love for jazz listening it from her crib on time and everywhere she could. I mean what little 7 yr old Norwegian child sings "I'm a fool to want you" perfectly, acapella? on stage during a contest? She has sung country western/Gospel, Rock...Sinatra. She also adjusts her voice according to the song that she sings. There are songs like "Born to die" and "I am still holding out for you" where her voice is very different than what you just heard. Then when she sings the theme from "The Godfather".... as well as a song that she wrote about where she grew up "Oslo" Most of her songs are casual, done in her home accompanied by a guitar. Very simple..nothing fancy. She doesn't do the "special effects" and theatrical anything in most of her performances. They mostly are just her and one of the 2 guitar plays that she works with. She does outdoor festivals too. She is a different kind of an artist..her history of rising up in the music world besides winning "Norway's Got Talenta' as well as some other awesome hightlights are simple but powerful and beautiful. I think that Angelina is one of the most versitle if not "the versitle" artists our our time. Your reaction was great! I learned a lot from it! From the strings of the "Ukele to the bass," Hope to see you do another Angelina song soon!

Missy, your analyzations are very astute, and your technical breakdowns of the artist are very educational, but in the case of Angelina, she is such a magnificent artist that sometimes in breaking down her techniques, which are very natural in her expression of her songs, it's like standing in front of a DaVinci painting and only analyzing his brush strokes when one should stop and take in the whole beauty of the finished painting. In that video of Angelina singing Bohemian Rhapsody, no One in that audience was thinking about the placement of her larynx, or the breathiness of her tone. The only thing they cared about, with their mouths hanging open, was the beauty of her expression in her singing, and the beautiful expression of the song that came out of her 13-year-old body. I listened intently to your technical breakdown at every stop of the video, and I found it to be very enlightening, but I was yearning for your expert critique of the virtuosity of her performance, and her wonderful artistry.

Missy, a British colleague showed in this video, that Angelina has a longer larynx than most girls have. That is why she can go down deep, and reach high. A few vocal coaches (Cici Dover and Frank from Britain and some others) estimate her vocal range at around 5 octaves. colleagcolleacueue colleague

elmar No vocal coach has ever suggested she has a 5 octave vocal range. Ceci and Frank have both mentioned that she has hit a particular note in the 5th octave; but that doesn't mean she has a 5 octave range. It's actually 3 octaves give or take a semi-tone.

AJ is a musical genius who learned singing with Jazz at a very young age. Here she was 13 years old. Now she is 15. She won NGT with 8 years old singing Jazz. She will be one of the greatest voices of the musical history.

Angelina has been versatile vocally since birth, almost, without knowing or caring about mechanics. She does, masters it, intuitively. Training hardly needed, but fully and easily applied. Listen to her evolution from 6 and on to 13, for this Bohemian Rhapsody

She grew up singing old school jazz mostly since she was 1 1/2. Loved your reaction! Hopefully you'll explore around 140 covers and 5 originals all of which she arranged herself along with the music. 13 years old here. Thanks!
