Love your stuff always a good calming atmosphere, usually watch when I'm smoking myself, reading, or just taking a break when I'm out hiking or gardening.

I really needed this today. My wife and I are about to have our lives altered in a way that will be pretty hard for us both. Our son is moving out and on his own this week. Time to let go. We are going into a new season of our lives. This video was a great reminder of that. Thank you!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Yeah man, I hear ya. We are empty nesters in a couple of weeks, as our youngest of three is on his way to college. War Damn Eagle!

This is my first time watching your channel. I agree with a lot of what you said. I'm also in my middle 50's .I have three grandchildren and I can't keep up with them. I'm struggling with keeping up with my trade . My body is beat up , and I don't know what to do next

What I would give just to sit and share a bowl with this level of conversation.

If you start up a good deep conversation most people will get into it and you can probably have that with almost anyone, you just gotta initiate a lot of the time. None of us really want to open up, until someone else does.

Lovely video! When I saw your video in my feed, I knew it was going to be great. I grabbed my pipe, packed with my favorite tobacco (Boswell's Hunter's Choice), and puffed while enjoying my tea alongside your video. I'm 51, and my body hurts. 5 years ago, different story. When we are kids, we think it's all hogwash hearing the elders complain. Well, now who's in the same seat? Again, wonderful video and time with you this morning. As always, take care.

Great message, and one that should cause us to think more deeply. I'm actually watching this after having shared some bourbon and conversation with my neighbor and good friend (who has two young children and a demanding new job). I've since retreated to the back porch - my own sanctuary, with pipe in hand, and can certainly attest that there is undoubetedly a season for all things. I'm a husband, father, grandfather, and recent retiree; however, I realized that being retired since age 54 (now 57), ain't all that I thought it would be (especially when my wife, who is several years younger, is still working!), so I start a new job in August. All that being said, I suppose the season that we think we should be in may not necessarily be the season that God has in mind.

Deep thoughts. You know I just recently was saved by our Lord. Despite always knowing he was around in the back of my head I never knew him. And now my life has changed in so many ways I often feel confused of what season I am in. It was as if I woke up from a deep sleep. Like learning to walk again. On a side note I’d love to hear your thoughts on pipe smoking and being a Christian. This is something I, and others have wrestled with. I am truly interested in hearing your thoughts about this journey as a man who has known a Christ far longer than I. Have a great weekend Johnson!

Why have you wrestled with smoking a pipe and being a Christian? It's like wrestling with being a Christian and eating steak and potatoes, or going for a walk, or brushing your teeth. What's the issue? Seriously, I'd really like to hear your perspective on why this is something to wrestle with.

What a timely discussion. My wife and I have been discussing seasons quite a bit lately as we’re in the midst of a big change ourselves. Thanks.

GORGEOUS deck and view! Wow! I need to get a Morgan Bones. I do, however, already have that exact hat. And you just can't go wrong with some Bible study with your wife and a pipe. You, sir, are living the good life!

I'm with you my friend. I'm 66 and I definitely can't do the things I used to do. I have learned that if you don't use it you will lose it. But you have to be careful that you don't over do it. I am retired now and let that go and now keeping busy with the garden. Mentoring is very important. Thank you for sharing. Very best regards Ron
