I have never tried Morgan Taylor. Until last year I've not really tried any other brand than OPI. Partly because OPI is such a good brand and also partly because at my last job (10 1/2 years there) I couldn't wear nail polish and my days off were always split up, so I stopped painting my nails. But I'm branching out more now and your videos are very helpful to me. Plus I find your voice very relaxing so great to watch anytime. As for changes, well humans don't like change, but my best decision in life was leaving my abusive ex. Currently I'm selling my house as the area has got so bad now, I've been here 20 years, all my adult life, and it's time to get a better house in a nicer area. Can't wait to move on.

I feel you there, I’ve had a lot of major changes happen over the last year or so to, some of it very good, some of it very, very bad, and some of it just random luck. Moving though that’s never a bad idea if you live in a bad spot ( I speak from experience) so hopefully everything will work out!!!

I was just grabbing a couple of these at Sally Beauty to try them out. It's good to hear they are heavily pigmented enough to do 2 coats. In 2000, I made the leap to an internet startup. Tailored for You is such a perfect grey, and i also could see myself wearing It’s All About the Twill. i have a couple MT polishes when i find them on clearance at Sally Beauty. i picked up one of their Clueless colors - an orange - that was absolutely perfect for fall nail art. i find them to be on the pricier side for me, but it’s nice to see how consistent the formula is if i do find more of them on sale

Love Morgan Taylor! I just tried H&M nail polish as well and I am getting almost one coat on some colors and I love the formula and color choices (mostly beige/brown/red). It's really good for the price, especially!

I have never tried Morgan Taylor, although I am loving the Tartan collection colors and names. I am totally there with you about crossroads and changes. I too was comfortable but not totally happy and made a huge, outside my comfort zone change. I am currently in love with MT polishes, I only discovered them in the last year when I spotted Nail Polish Direct selling them at buy one get two free! So I tried a few of them, then went back for a lot more. They went down to buy one get one free after a few weeks but still a bargain and I went back several times to add to my collection as I was so impressed with just how long their polishes stayed on my nails - I have very weak, bendy, easily torn nails so they're a definite challenge for any nail polish to look good on for over 2 days but MT managed 8 days which was a real wow moment for me. As they were so cheap on special offer I branched out into some really strange colours for me and I was so pleased I did! I bought so many I'm still working my way through them after 6 months. Loved the video, the black polishes really impressed me as did 'It's all about the Twill'.

I have a few Morgan Taylor polishes that are ones I would consider to be special polishes that I haven't seen anywhere else before - like the silver and gold toppers that you reviewed a while back that melt into the polish, they're so good! I also have a deep sapphire blue polish by MT that stains my nails like crazy lol

I find that with those darker or more pigmented colors I wear two coats of Orly bonder base coat for staining nail polish! I do like MG polish as you find it at really great prices not to mention her brush is nice in her newer sets!

I had a really old purple MT polish they don’t make anymore. I don’t even remember the name anymore because I threw it away as soon as it stained my nails! I own too many medium purple creams to justify keeping one that stains so badly.

I just got some more polish off of eBay and was able to get 'a buy some get free shipping' or something and chose my first two Morgan Taylor. One is called 'Pumps or Cowboy Boots' which looks like a deep, vampy brown, and a taupe shade that just looks really pretty. I haven't heard much of this brand, maybe a person or two said some good things, but I'm hopeful! I don't mind main brands, what I do mind is if a creme is a one-coater or not. I like jelly and crelly, but brands really need to start putting that on a bottle so people know what they are getting. Last night I went to the store and since my nails were needing to be redone, I just started swatching on them to see their opacity and was able to choose which ones that I wanted.

My husband has heard me jive about “the rarest polishes” and after a LONG search, I chanced upon a bottle of the 295 formula on an online vintage beauty shop and he was so kind as to get the bottle for me ( which was so sweet because I know he doesn’t care one way or the other about polish). I just needed to chat with another polish addict about it because no one I live near really cares about the gravity of this rare polish

I have used up and rebought Morgan Taylor topcoat. It's not my top favorite, but it is good, and it is always in stock at Sally Beauty. Other brands' top coats that I love more are always sold out in store or only available online. I like the Morgan Taylor cap and brush. The cap feels nice to hold and the brush is easy to work with. I just think the brand name, bottle shape, and color range seem a little frumpy. Maybe that's why it's not a very hyped-up brand.

Oh, and big changes…the biggest change I made that I’m proud of was picking a different college than I’d planned on. Everyone expected me to go to this really big prestigious university but I chose to go to this tiny, lower ranked liberal arts school. It ended up being one of the best decisions in my life for so many reasons, and I think about the things I learned and professors I befriended often.

Tartan the Interruption, Belt It Out, Tailored for You, and Record Breaker are my favorites from these. Wow, Belt It Out is gorgeous!! That's rude of that red to stain your nails, I also hate having stained nails, so I get your annoyance. I agree with you Kelli very nice formula on a lot of their polishes. I used to use this brand from Sally Beauty. The staining you experienced was the reason I stopped using this brand especially the darker shades and some were hard to get off my nails. Sad I really liked the colors too! But I probably won't use them again though.

Regarding nail polishes that stain the nails, I recently had my toenail pedicure done at the salon with OPI Big Apple Red. It stained my nails deeply and terribly. I was shocked that such a popular color was so bad that way.

Oh no! I wonder which base coat they used. I never had staining with my bottle but I am pretty picky about bases haha

I have many Morgan Taylor's and haven't had one that wasn't pretty great. I enjoy them and you can get them pretty cheap on nail polish sites.
