I’ll start by saying that I’m a huge Jason Isbell fan & I will forever be thankful for this song for reasons that aren’t important. I don’t understand some of the hate directed at Morgan Over this song. Be glad he’s introducing a whole new audience to one of the greatest songwriters of this generation! Tennessee Whiskey is a cover, so is Cash’s version of Hurt. A great song stands on its own & is open to different styles & interpretations.

Luke Johnson I’m gonna have to disagree because see, I can see the future, and I can see this dude going in the books right next to them. Give it 50 years and he won’t be on that hall of fame as well? Shit he already is in my eyes. He’s got the modern country sound to his voice but he also has a unique spin to it so it’s not a cookie cutter song like a lot of other artists. And on top of that, he challenges his voice when he sings. This song is a major challenge to his low raspy country slang of a voice that he has. But the dude kills it. He has passion when he sings. Legend in my book

Like seriously? A concert contains of a back up singer and those who played the instrument. So it's natural that the guitar keep playing on the backround to fill up the whole song. And that's normal in a concert.
