Enjoyed so much. I once took a "reading vacation," which amounted to taking a week off from work in cozy October, and reading a mystery each day, punctuated by "meals" like toast with hot chocolate. Still ranks as one of my favorite vacations ever!

Oh I love reading in cafes! I used to live in Victoria, BC, and my favourite coffee shop was just a 10 minute walk from my house. Every weekend, rain or shine, I’d walk there, get my absolute favourite drink (served in a delightfully weighty mug) and sit for an hour or so and read. It was lovely! I remember I used to get a few comments from strangers about how unusual yet nice it was to see someone reading instead of scrolling away - a cozy cafe really is the perfect place to read in my opinion!

Hola Morgan!!! You are a truly fast reader to read that many books within 24 hours. I usually read rather slowly. I have read classics like Shakespeare and The Man of La Mancha. I read Man of La Mancha in Spanish. It was a 1000 +pages. Great read. The book on decorating that you mentioned is interesting. I need to decorate my apartment. What I like about how you do your videos is that you are one of the few youtubers who really engage with your viewers. Morgan, you make us feel like part of your family. You have so much fun in doing your videos. I also have fun watching your videos because of the fact you make it entertaining. You inject positive energy into all of us. Watching your videos inspires me. Question: What is your favorite genre for reading books? One other question: Do you read repuntzel (Swedish poems)? They are shorter poems. There is a poem I read called, "I Like Coffee",..lol. Well, I know my comments are long, but I think of you as family. Wishing you the very best, my sister in spirit. Peace and Love!

I love the reading in the cafe, could you maybe ask the owner to let you film like an hour before they open and do a read with me and put 80’s John Hughes type movies music with it?

That's specific 😅

I have long wanted to film a read-with-me in a cafe!! It would be really difficult leaving my camera places for different angles and not worrying about it being stolen…but arriving early could work!! I’m thinking of sending this cafe the clips I filmed and letting them use the videos for their website or something. Maybe we can make a deal!

@@MorganLong wouldn't be awesome if we could have some sort of lense connected to a camera via Bluetooth? Like we do with speakers.

@@MorganLong ... I LOVE this idea! Oh, I sooooo hope you can pull it off. :-D BTW, what is the name of this cafe? I tried to read the window, but couldn't figure it out. I want to visit it the next time I'm in Portland. Thank you so much for sharing this day with us. You are an inspiration!

My sister and I are going on a little midweek vacation to Assateague Island this coming week to be on the beach and hopefully see the wild ponies, and I'm looking forward to having new places to read! We're going to stay at a cute little bed-and-breakfast and I'm planning to spend as much time as I can reading both there and on the beach. I'm currently reading children's literature too- Susan Cooper's "Over Sea, Under Stone"- but it's a quick read and I'm already halfway through, so I'll have to bring a second book to tide me over for the rest of the trip

You should watch saving mr. banks on Disney+! It goes into the story behind Mary poppins and the author’s war with Walt Disney, it’s really really good and explains some creative details in the book

Happy Weekend!! I agree with your thoughts on Mary Poppins, she is a lot different in text vs on screen ♥️
