Hey Joey - I was watching your live yesterday and I thought of tool that I don't remember you reviewing or talking about that you might be interested in checking out. it is the Klein ET140 Moisture Meter. It is a pinless moisture meter that shows the percentage of moisture in drywall, softwoods, hardwoods and masonry. It is awesome for figuring out if there is a leak behind walls. Like I said, I am not sure if you already have it, but it would make for a great video I would think. Have a great day!

@@russalbright4213 I just saw it in Lowe’s the other day. I have a TopTes one they sent me, but I may look at the features on it and see what it’s all about. Appreciate it

I liked the demonstration showing the water heating up in the sink. I agree with the convenience factor, and, as great as your Topdon camera may be, exporting your images to a computer or device takes valuable time. I don't understand people complaining about storage or contact permissions for a camera, though... 😂😂

@@wackyweyland8857 I don’t really read them, that’s about the only negatives I saw in the reviews on Amazon though. If we think we have privacy anymore we are kidding ourselves anyways 😂

@MORGANSMaintenance I was thinking the same thing. Also, out of all things that are a concern of your privacy, it's a thermal imaging camera...

Honest, precise and well opinion. I expect nothing less from Morgan's Maintenance. The camera itself may be a good DYI tool. For more pro applications, handheld models are better.

@@Stefan_Kawalec they both have their pros and cons.. but I agree, if I spend big dollars I’d rather get a tool not reliant on other things. Best of both worlds is a seperate unit that can wirelessly send photos and videos to phone… like a GoPro

@brub5174 I like this one that it doesn’t have to actually hook into your phone, but you can send all the images etc. through your phone. The only thing on this one I’ve noticed is the battery life is as long as my stand alone units, but it’s smaller so kinda expected. It has more than plenty for the amount of time I will use it. Hope you like it 👍
@brub51742 ай бұрын
@@MORGANSMaintenance it will do, and occasionally will charge it. But I will use it maybe 1 minute per day so I think it's gonna be fine. But I was looking a long time for something like this. I also didn't want something you plug into your phone and I've seen standalone ones that are 1. Too big & 2. Very expensive. This one fits in my toolbox. Most of time will check on mainboards for hot spots and premature insulation problems on -80 freezers. Thanks 👍

Can it see studs in walls or wires/pipes? I've seen many cheap and expensive models the resolution varies wildly even though it's advertised as the same. If you wouldn't mind maybe a sample picture of a residential wall? (You can email it if you want or post a follow-up) Maybe it's time for a roundup since you own a handful of them now. One of the cheap kobalt ones i have can't show studs or wires with current going through them well. I've used a buddy's 500ish flir and it does show all that so I'm curious if any of thoes will fit the bill without the crazy price tag. I still don't much care for the idea of odd apps on my phone even if it's convenient to transfer photos over easily. The form factor seems to be more refined than other forms I've seen as well. At this point 280 puts in it's seprate hand held unit territory which was one advantage to the other dongles making them cheapest option. All we really want is to see wires pipes and leaks in the end without opening up walls.
@MORGANSMaintenance4 ай бұрын
@@MattHmm-rq6dn yeah I’ve seen some studs sometimes and sometimes not on different ones. I think it might depend on the heat transfer (or cold) more than it seeing them. I will see if I can get you a picture.
