I know its off topic but i'd be interested in what you'd have to say about work boots. It's just as important as any tool.

I wear different types of shoes all the time. I wear slip on stuff for residential typically since I usually change at the door. Only time I wear “work boots” are in my commercial jobsites or factories. I will keep the idea in mind though, good suggestion 👍

I may have to put this on my list to get. I’ve always thought of electric drivers as kind of gimmicky but how do you know until you give it a fair shot. The usb-c really makes me like it even more. I won’t buy anything anymore that uses the old mini or micro usb as almost all my devices take type c. Thanks for the video!

Great video, thanks for the review especially the US version of the tool. I purchased the Japan version (red button version) but I’m not able to use the Japanese version of the double ended bit that’s philips (PH2) and slotted (SL6). The slotted part of the double ended bit does not lock in the tool while the Phillips end does when I switch ends. I think the reason for that is because the way the Phillips side is shaped like an arrow ==> so it fits inside the tool and locks in while slotted side is not shaped like that and does not go all the way to lock in. In your video I see that you have a double ended bit and both ends are Phillips. I also thought that I could purchase a double ended bit that has smaller heads like PH1/SL4. I think that would work with the tool however, there are not such versions of the bit. The manufacturer does not have that version of doubled ended bit. I could not find anywhere double ended bit that’s PH1/SL4 that could be used with this tool. Maybe that’s just my preference to have that size bit but it would make really convenient to work on electrical outlets/covers and other small appliance like vents/fans without having to look for a different bit size, just switch ends. I also wonder if you are able to use US version of the tool with double ended bits?
@MORGANSMaintenance3 ай бұрын
@@GHST__RIDER I will have to see what I have and check it (and see if I can get my pencil erasers out I put in to get rid of the play) I always just keep a locking bit holder in mine and use 1” bits and swap them, but if you only use two bits a lot, I see the appeal of two sided ones. You could also use things like these amzn.to/3Sy5e7s Personally before I bought that, I would spend a few more dollars and buy the Klein impact 11-1 and use the shafts out of them amzn.to/3LR5rPk I have videos of both those tools if you haven’t seen them before.

I have my two knockoffs (for different bags), so I don't need another. I've bought some more bits though. The magnet in the bit-holder grabs the bit, but not a screw. If I put a bit-magnet on a longer bit, that will hold screws.

Thank you for showing us differences that really matter when buying this kind of tool. That play is really interesting. Why didn't they make the collet/chuck that would fit the US bits better? And that price difference is even more interesting. Even with shipping from Japan, it's still cheaper than buying US version.
@MORGANSMaintenance5 ай бұрын
I know.. I assumed that was the whole purpose for making this version. Seems like it would fit better. Better off buying the Japan Version in my opinion, then it will fit multiple bits with the same play at least. 🤷♂️

I'v got a regular Vessel but don't like the low speed, I use a Makita TDO22DSE, 7.2 foldable impact driver especially for lock sets, pricey at $188+ but now is $259+ (Amazon) also have the same but with clutch for more delicate work. A lot lighter than my M12 Surge.
@MORGANSMaintenance5 ай бұрын
I’ve seen a few videos on those, and the Dewalt Gyroscope is another I had looked at. I mostly like the Vessel because it’s like using a regular screwdriver. If it’s much bigger, I would probably just use my Installation Driver or Surge.

This is embarrassing. I have the Japan version and didn't realize that light was a speed button. lol I have only used it a couple of times so it must have been on low. I just received the Makita impact stick driver from Japan. Bzeug showed them on his channel. I really like it. He made a video about not being sure the Japanese charger would be OK for the U.S. and the comment section told him it's fine so that's why I bought it. So far really happy with and I also like the Vessel. I bought all JIS bits for it also. I have the Makita bit adapter #A-44672 It takes the slop out of the chucks if you want to use the other bits. Your spacer might even be better.

I saw where they have an adapter. I have plenty of bits laying around that it was easy enough (and free) to make one. Mine pretty much just stays on the solid light. It’s easier to understand what the lights mean on the US packaging at least 😂 if that’s worth $40 more

Never really have a need for this style of electric screwdrivers. Availability of Vessel ones is not very good in the UK. If I go Amazon, they offer the US import.
@MattHmm-rq6dn5 ай бұрын
Most of us are too lazy to spin a screwdriver these really do help us save our wrists. Moat of what people do with these are outlet switches and assembly of very low torque things. It's too bad it doesn't work out for you since it's about the smallest powered driver you can get that's usable manually.

I would equate these to the bosh go in popularity in the uk. Every video I see seems to have thoes I'm a bag or pouch. I have a union electrician tell me the other day his company ordered a 50 pack of these vessels talk about a odd thing for the accountants to see.
