What are your thoughts on Morgantown Mall, and what do you think it's future holds?

Aesthetics look like a mashup between modern-Frontier Mall and Fort Collins' Foothills Fashion before they rebuilt it... plus a couple other malls I've seen vids of out east of me.

It is an underrated mall for sure. Digging the sky lights

Living in Morgantown, I appreciate the video and the positive light of the mall and it’s doing well, all considered. Candidly, it’s facing serious competition from meadowbrook mall about 30 miles south whose occupancy is nearly 100% with a mix of local and national retailers being added and/or remodeled. Look forward to a video from there, too!

Morgantown Mall has seen better days ......it even had a GAP and a Hollister Co. store, for many years......today, the locals shop at the University Towne Centre and at the Suncrest Towne Centre ........the other Mall (Mountaineer Mall) was this town's shopping hub until 1991-1992, when Morgantown Mall opened its doors ....the Mountaineer Mall is mostly office space now ....in its heyday the Mountaineer Mall featured stores like Montgomery Wards, Stone and Thomas , JC Penney's, and an Ames store too (with lots of low quality products) ....the first Walmart in Morgantown operated at the Mountaineer Mall, at the spot where the Ames store used to be......also locals shop at Tanger Outlets near Pittsburgh, and at Pittsburgh's Malls too .......lots of online shopping as well, like with the rest of the country

Sounds like the same thing going on at many malls across America. The anchor stores pull out then the theater then later the food court would start emptying out.

Yeah, it feels like that’s what’s happening everywhere. I’m glad to see this mall managed to look past it though, and still live on!

Nice Mall. Hopefully it will be able to keep it's chain stores. Looks like a good selection of stores.

On the road again ~ just can't wait to get on the road again🎶 Ah man, I miss Sbarro. Used to have them in my mall :( Was decent pizza at one time, especially for mall pizza.

I haven’t had Sbarro since I was a kid, but we still have one at SouthPark, and Great Northern is getting one soon replacing their old pizza place.

@@ERA_ProductionsThat's a little surprising to hear they are opening a new location, but I guess good to hear they aren't dying off. I think the last time I saw an open Sbarro with my own eyes was in the DC area back in 2018.

After spending a good sized chunk of my life from the 80s to relatively recently working in or around more malls and stores than I care to name, I've always found that the one store that best describes the overall health of any mall is Spencer Gifts. This is in no way an exact science, nor can I back it up with numbers or facts. Just observation mixed with experience.
