This song is my life. 18 years of marriage to a woman who loved me but she couldn’t ever forgive or forget the small things over the years.. even though I did that for her. She pulled away from me and her 17 year old son and just left one morning. She is cold and I don’t recognize her at all. I didn’t see it coming. There was much more good precious things in our life worth fighting for but she couldn’t see them. I die inside every day and after 2 months it’s not easier. I’ve said everything I could think of but it falls on deaf ears.Today is our 18th year anniversary and she wouldn’t even see me. I drive a Chevy killing myself to make everything and she never worked. I was happy to provide all her needs and wants. All my prayers for her over all these years didn’t seem to change anything. I’m afraid of that day coming where I let her go.. but not today. God help me with this empty aching heart dying inside me.

@MrFrenchHarp6 ай бұрын
@@matthewdarr3112 Hi. Thanks for caring enough to ask. It’s just as hard but not as often in the best ways I can explain it. This last weekend I had a memory come back to me that dropped me to my knees and the weeping now makes me very sick. I actually dread the physical and emotional after effects that crying now causes me. The dreams torment me. I’m trying to be happy for my son.. in fact Sundays have now become Sondays. I was sick most of the day yesterday from one small moment Saturday evening.. so today on memorial day we are going to go out and eat and go bowling. I guess another way to summarize… is I love her with all my heart.. more than ever before. That’s a helpless feeling and I refuse to replace it with hate and resentment. Even this text brought a couple tears to my eye.. so I will end with this. The Almighty Father is carrying me and blessing me and my son.. and I trust in him to guide and keep us. This world is not my home… I’m just passing through. My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue. I’m home sick. “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain” Yahuah bless you and your family.

Been sober 8 years. I was a dedicated alcoholic, the kind that doesn’t miss a day or need an excuse to have a drink. Worked a high stress job, had a messed up personal life plus my body was physically a mess. Could drink a bottle of Vodka a day plus whatever else got thrown my way. Then one day I met a girl, a very special girl. Things were going good, I was able to hide my drinking from her. Then one day it happened, I got super super messed up. I mean messed about 5 minutes from landing in jail. Called her up told Her which alley I was in, that’s all I remember. I woke up the next day in my bed. Butt naked all washed up but with a hangover from hell. She came in looked at me and said Ive done this once before and won’t do it again. This is your one chance. I love you but it happens again….I’m gone…..long story short I decided I could not risk losing her. Went cold Turkey never looked back, been happily married 5 years now. My wife saved my life and it was the easiest decision I’ve ever made. Stay strong brother, it’s a beautiful world out there with tons of people who love you.😬👍

Yes, I've been dealing with that alcahol thing, too, cause of my own choices. I could never blame someone else. I chose to deal with my problems this way. It seemed to numb me at first, but now it's too much! I learned the hard way. I made a poor choice and lost a guy I met after my ex of 26 years left me for a younger woman. I take responsibility for my actions. It's no one elses choice but my own, but this other guy I did everything for. I spent my money on him when I needed it the most and supported him when he was down. He stopped talking to me with no communication. Mind you, he is an alcaholic, too, so I know it's not that! I'm working on getting sober and finding that special someone who knows my worth!!! I wasted all of my time wasted on him! I am worth it!!!!

Back listening this song, and still friking hurts, makes me mad and sad at the same time. It really sucks to love a person who doesn't love you back, or at least that's what it looks like. I don't regret putting miles on a vehicle, praying for that person, or doing anything I did for him, what I do regret is not listening to my heart when it was telling me not to put my eyes on him. Now I've wasted almost two years waiting for him to make a decision about us, to give himself a chance to love and to be loved, but after trying everything, I have made the decision to step away and pretend like "nothing" happened. Like I never met him before. 😔 It will be hard, but I think God's plan for me is different, is something else, is a test for me to learn something out of this, not sure what it is yet, but damn it hurt to figure it out 😔

If you come here because you need that little bit of peace, let me tell you please don't give up. You have to keep fighting. That stronger, faster, better you is waiting at the end of whatever battle you're fighting. It's not the end. It's only the beginning. You have to get up. Despite the numerous times you've been slammed into the ground you have to dust yourself off and ask "is that all you got?" Because you're strong. Know it. Own it. Trust me, I know. And if you have to go down, go down fighting with everything you've got. Never stop fighting. Please. I'm sure someday we will meet and show our battle scars and talk about how we made it. Lyrics I don't always wake up in the mornin' Pour myself a strong one Aw, but when I get lonely I do Your memory gets to burnin' Lean back on the bourbon Sure as hell can't keep leanin' on you Looks like I'm learnin' the hard way again It's all my fault, yeah, I dropped the ball You're gone and I'm gone three sheets to the wind Thinkin' bout all I've wasted on you All of this time and all of this money All of these sorrys' I don't owe you honey All of these miles on this chevy and prayers in a pew, all them days I spent wasted on you Wasted on you Yeah, I swore this one'd be different My heart wouldn't listen To my head in these boots on my feet Looks like I'm learnin' the hard way again That's why I've been Wasted on you All of this time and all of this money All of these sorrys I don't owe you honey All of these miles on this chevy and prayers in a pew, all them days I spent wasted on you Wasted on you Like this pile of your stuff that's packed up in the back Right down to the flame of this match Wasted on you Wasted on you Wasted on you All of this time and all of this money All of these sorrys' I don't owe you honey All of these miles on this chevy and prayers in a pew, all them days I spent wasted on you Wasted on you Wasted on you Wasted on you

What makes this so good is not just the lyrics. It’s the pain in his voice you can feel the experience. And even deeper cut are the cords themselves just the raw feeling they project is so visceral. It doesn’t get much better folks.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day!"

This song describes my 12 year marriage I ended a couple years ago. I stayed with someone who treated me like sh*t, abused me, screamed at me daily, used me for money...and left me nothing in the end. Not even a broken heart, just an empty feeling. And now when I meet someone who treats me well, I blow it! I'm so stupid.

Wasted plenty of time on a girl most of my highschool life, ruining relationships and friendships with people just for her that didnt even work out, 3 years wasted. Im thankful that ive reconciled with those people and im in a better place. This song helped me get out of that emotional mess i was in going back to april 2021. Most Morgan’s actually helped me get through it. Hes such a special artist and will always be one of my favourites 💯

Try to ease up on yourself man! Remember this next time you think, feel or even go to say that again, ok? So many of us seem to forget it, and admittedly I have to remind myself too (highschool was my wildchild years lol) but these or those I should say, are the EXACT TIMES WHEN ALL THOSE THINGS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!! nothing is ever a waste that you dated or did or went through in the long run...throughout our teens and 20s is a huge important period where we dont even realize it nor understand it but every person you choose to associate yourself with, date, befriend, hate, bully, love, tell things to, blah blah blah you get the rest, as well as all you do and see...mistakes or not...wasted moments and time with people and things...regrets....all of it man...is summed up as YOU FINDING YOU. LEARNING LIFE! It sounds so cliche that people just right that off but Ive realized this when I was about 18ish maybe max 20 but somewhere along those lines is when it clicked and wasnt just a saying or cliche people bs you with to make you feel better about crappy things that happen, or breakups etc...but that it was the truest of true fact of LIFE EVER! and when you let it sink....like go back through moments and people & connect them to something that changed you, something that you molded you and you still are like today, and think and feel like from that moment on...did a girl you wasted time on loving do you wrong? You learned what you dont want in a girl, and maybe even subconsciously how to better figure it out before you waste time again, you learned that you might not know love, dating, girls, people and who they seem to be vs actually are in real life, behind closed doors, as well as you ounce thought and maybe from this moment on you were a little more appreciated and careful about who and what you gave yourself and your time over too...see you dont realize it cause it was a negative moment in your life and deep down your bitter about it...its okay we all do that shit, look bac and get mad, feel hurt that we wasted time, didnt say no or yes, should have, could have, would haves ya know??? but theres a reason those things happen so much, and so many things are going on and choices to be made and all of this is pressured it feels and BLAH! we rush, we dont think, we think we already are some wise adult but we know jack diddly...and cause all that we waste time make mistakes bUT YOUR MIND NOW IS BETTER AT NOT DOING THOSE THINGS NOW OR ATLEAST CAN PICK UP WHAT WOULD BE OR WHO WOULD BE AND WONT LET IT GET WASTED AS LONG AS IT ONCE DID. in highschool everyone is a lesson babe. its just facts. & girls in highschool are literally the worst so dont waste time on any of them toots...wait til college in your next life lol...we all think we know what we want, who we want,were giant bitches to everyone for LITERALLY NO REASON BUT TO SEEM TOUGH\COOL\OR JUDGY AS HELL CAUSE THE OTHER GIRLS DO IT & THEN CLAIM NOT TO BE LIE THEM Lol girls are clueless til their late 20s
