Evan needs justice. He is literally perfect and fits so great with the rest of the derpy dinos. It would be cool if Moriah made more derpy dinosaurs, but make one in each color of the rainbow, and it would make sense because we already have pink, orange, yellow, green, and blue. All we need now is purple, and if she does it a pastel purple, it's not too Barney the Dinosaur. It would also be fun to do another baking video, but try and recreate one of her characters??? It seems really hard, but then again, she did okay with Catty Cake. Or she could collab with someone like Rosana Pansino, or another professional baker. What do you guys think???

I’m so sorry Evan 🧡 this is a little of his back story… Evan was once a simple, soft, green dinosaur, living a quiet life among the other squishies. Unlike his more colorful and vibrant companions, Evan’s plain green exterior didn’t attract much attention. He spent his days sitting in the background, watching the world pass by, as his fellow squishies were picked up, loved, and given exciting new designs. While they were adorned with intricate patterns and eye-catching details, Evan remained the same, overlooked and forgotten. He often wondered if his simple green color was the reason he never stood out, and over time, he began to feel a little lost, unsure of where he fit in. Then came the day Evan had been waiting for-he was finally chosen for a makeover. For the first time in what felt like forever, Evan was filled with hope. Maybe this was his chance to be seen, to be loved like the others. He imagined himself being transformed into something spectacular, with designs that would show off who he truly was inside. But when the makeover began, things took a turn that Evan hadn’t expected. Instead of being carefully decorated, Evan found himself covered in random, mismatched spots-bright pinks, blues, and greens splattered across his once calm, green surface. He didn’t feel special; he felt like a joke. The other squishies laughed and poked fun at his new look, and Evan, trying to stay strong, smiled along with them. But deep down, he was crushed. As if the teasing wasn’t enough, what really broke Evan’s spirit was how harshly Moriah treated him. Instead of being handled gently, he was hit, squished, and tossed aside. Every playful jab stung more than Evan could bear. He wanted to cry out, to tell her to stop, but he couldn’t-he was just a squishy, after all. It wasn’t just the physical hits; it was the way she laughed at him, pointing out how silly and useless he looked now. Evan felt so small, so insignificant, as if all the hope he’d built up had been squashed in an instant. Poor Evan didn’t know how to process it all. He had always been patient, always hopeful that one day someone would see his worth, but this experience made him doubt everything. The one chance he had to stand out, to finally be seen, was taken from him and turned into something cruel. He wasn’t just a joke; he was the target of it. The more Moriah teased him, the more Evan’s little heart felt like it was breaking. He wasn’t sure how much more he could take. But even in his darkest moments, Evan tried to hold onto a shred of hope. Maybe this was just a phase. Maybe one day, someone else would come along, see him for who he truly was, and treat him with the care and kindness he deserved. For now, though, Evan had to endure. He couldn’t help but feel sorry for himself, knowing that no one understood the depth of his feelings. He longed for someone to pick him up, to give him a gentle hug, and to tell him that it was going to be okay. But as the days passed, Evan remained on the shelf, quietly waiting for his time to come.

Fun fact about the banana candy flavor! It's actually modeled after a banana species that doesn't exist anymore! We bred bananas so much to be the "perfect" banana that they became basically clones of each other. This is great from a taste, texture, and size pov, but it meant that when that species of banana got hit with a disease, it rapidly died out because none of them were resistant to it. The current banana species you see in stores is also so genetically similar to each other that the same thing could happen to it because we don't learn from our mistakes :)

Super interesting! I just googled it and apparently banana flavor is based on a Gros Michael banana! Wonder if this is an American thing though? Because different bananas exist in my country and they can be wonky looking. I know you’re talking about Cavendish bananas. Those are the “perfect” ones sold in convenience stores here. And I actually hate the flavor of those. Very medicine-y. In my country, there are lots of types of bananas especially in the wet market. My fave is Latundan bcs it’s sweet but also a tiny bit tart.

I think Evan is adorable and derpy enough to be with other derpy dinos. I do think he would have been better in a lighter orange though. The other dinos are light green, light blue and light yellow, making his dark orange seem out of place . I think a lighter orange would make him match better with the group. I still love him though! I'm a sucker for dinos and his smile is adorable. 😊
