I second this. There see so many techniques like using a strainer, string, ball chain, dragging, using balloons to dab, spinning (that one might be best for outdoors ;-) ), and with or without silicon. Plus you can do a rainbow.

You should get a woobles kit! It is a learn to crochet kit and I personally got one not knowing anything about crochet and I have since made a tone of stuff after I bought the kit. It is totally worth the money and is super super fun and easy! There are a ton of adorable animals that you can make such as a penguin (the one I got) a Dino, an octopus, a baby chick, and tons more!!!
