Painting a HUGE Canvas (Pt. 1)

Hey guys! Today I am going to tackle a BIG art project, that I've never done before. I'm going to be painting on a huge canvas (well, 3 huge canvases actually, but the rest will be done in next week's video) and using it as custom decor in my new house! I am going to be attempting to do abstract art with this painting. Abstract artwork is my favorite style for home decor and I figured it would be the easiest to do on a large scale. As a beginner with abstract art, this was not as easy as I thought it would be, but I think it still came out really cool. I ended up using the palette knife technique and used a mixture of acrylic paint and joint compound (which is a way to get acrylic paint to look thicker). I definitely recommend trying it out if you want to make some DIY home decor.

I'm only guessing this but by the look of that little sitting area, they probably had packed away at least the large items and moved to the new place. Yet she mentioned her new art room is getting work done, so that might mean that packing up all her art room things probably would be the last to get moved over. So, I don't see why she couldn't do another "Pack with me" series. Though she's probably very busy filming and painting those large canvases that she might not be able to make a "Pack with me" about the new place. But who knows, maybe if she can't film her packing up her old art room, maybe she'll film unpacking her art room things to get placed in their new homes at the new house.

Honestly, I love how amazing the whole living room goes together n the painting definitely ties it all up in a big bow! I love how the blue blends in and it seriously makes the other colors on the canvas pop. N let’s be real, the rainbow rug is chefs kiss! You did an amazing job Moriah! This turned out awesome! I was really on the edge of liking it disliking but then when you added in the black. I feel like it brought the dimension and contrast that the painting needed. It also looks just perfect in the room; i love how the edges just sort blend into the rest of the wall because of the similar color choice.
