Need some assistance/ ideas on what may be causing the 4bangers to flicker on/ power on for 3 seconds then go dead. Installed on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Purchased MM HXB Wide beam fog light install. I did speak to tech support and they are sending a CANBUS Module. I had the previous MM XB LED Round Foglights for the 2011. They plugged in with no problems, worked out of the box. These have been a little troublesome. When we called in from the shop and spoke to Headlight Revolution install support, then Morimoto support the tech was told he needed to add a resistor. He did that, and the flicker issue persists. We are waiting on the CANBUS to go for round 2.

This isn't an issue I have personally ran into yet. The CANBUS module should fix up anything with your Jeep though so here's to hoping that works! Make sure to let us know either way!

@@MorimotoLighting - Update the issue seems to be power or heat related when installing on my 2011 JGC. The HXB get really hot, and cause the TIPM to shut down the fogs. So, there is a power draw for these lights and they get hot. My two shops I went to are afraid to try a canbus at this point because they are worried about damaging the electrical system, fog causing a fire hazard down the road, and numerous other issues they don't want to be responsible for. Not sure if I received a bad 4banger HXB set? Do the HXB run hot? Does Morimoto know anything about the HXB power draw that would cause the TIPM to step in and shut the lights down before damage can be done? Do the NCS version of the fogs run cooler/draw lower power than the HXB? Not sure if I have a bad set of HXB or maybe I need to stick with NCS version, or the lights aren't tested enough to work with a 2011 JGC and I need to go back to the XB LEDS Jeep Round lights that were in before.
