I was not thinking about changing my lights until I saw this video. Thanks. It really does look good. It was looking for cornering lights next because sometimes it’s super hard to see lanes or corners in areas that have poor lighting.

I am not sure we ever finish, LOL. It is truly my favorite mod. They look fantastic, and they work even better. The difference in light output is truly dramatic, low or high. The ONLY minor glitch is that the blinker will make a rapid blink sound occasionally (as if a bulb was out) when the car’s auto-stop has killed the engine and the lights are on battery power. It takes about 30-60 seconds of blinking IF it does it. And it never does it if the auto-stop is inhibited. It just isn’t a factor for me, but I wanted to put out the only disclaimer. Truly love these things and will install on my recently bought Bronco Raptor. The current Morimotos don’t fit the BRaptor, but they are soon to release a compatible set for the BRaptor. I miss the far better Morimoto light output on my BRaptor. Thanks for stopping by Deidre!

How is the speed of the blinker SOUND? Mine went up 2x-3x over stock with these headlights even though the actual speed of flashing is normal. Kind of irritating to hear.

Other than one exception, when I was stuck at a traffic light for about six minutes with the signal on to turn left, the lights have always had a normal blinker rate for the sound and I’m assuming the flash outside. That one time, when the signal was on for an extended period at the light, it did what you describe, making a rapid signal sound. At about three times the normal rate. I don’t know what the actual light was doing on the exterior. Otherwise, It always worked normally for the half year owned the vehicle (I ended up, trading it on a Raptor that is featured in some of my videos). Thank you for checking out the channel!

Strange. Did the lights come with two small harnesses in the box? Does not seem like it from the video. With the harnesses the sound is normal.

@@GroovyGeek not that I recall. And yeah, I would’ve shown it in the video if it did. They’ve probably made a few tweaks, since it’s been more than a year since I purchased and installed. I just loved that they really were dramatically better headlights than the OEM.

Question- When pairing the lights to your phone, is there any type of security feature preventing others from downloading the app and changing your light color?

Not that I see. But the engine would have to be running/or Accessories ON. and it’s Bluetooth so you really have to be within about 30 feet of the vehicle. I think the odds of someone being by you while the vehicle is powered is incredibly unlikely. And if they did, it’s literally one tap of your preset to put it back on. It is not something that could be done while your car is in a parking lot and you’re out shopping or something.

@@marcus_ohreallyus the Bluetooth is built-in to the lights, and no additional hardware is required for the feature. When the lights are powered/illuminated, they can be adjusted by the App, and the last setting made will persist until a change is made on the app again. (i.e. - if you use the app to set the daytime running lights to Amber they will remain Amber every time you turn on the headlights or power down and restart the vehicle. You won’t have to keep changing it back to Amber. Essentially the last setting becomes their default until changed to something different.

Yes. I did the “Paid to trade” option mentioned in the video. I returned them in the same box with return shipping paid by Morimoto. They have already acknowledged receipt of them (yesterday - about 5 days after I returned), and said they are testing them and will follow-up after that regarding the value. It should be $600 since they were in perfect condition. They will send me a check to complete the transaction.

And I did receive the refund of $600 on Feb 22nd. They kept me informed during the “evaluation” of the lights I sent, and when they received, etc. Very “transparent” and trustworthy process.

Can’t change zones. They do have about twice the output as the OEM, so it does make it easier to see off centerline. But there is not a zone / turn light that changes with a turn signal.

I found their performance so markedly better than the OEM that I would say yes. If you plan on keeping your Bronco - long term - it sure makes night driving noticeably better. The only negative lately has been the trade-in value on the OEMs. It was a paltry (laughable) $20 last month from Morimoto. So weight that into your “affordable” calculation. You can check their site and see what their trade value is. I am sure other places you can sell the OEMs as well. body shops, repair market likely has an interest.

Yes, all normal functions on lights work same as OEM, in Auto setting. The DRLs are just crisper/brighter than OEM and you can adjust the color. And DRLs go off in Park, as with OEM during daylight.

I'm worried about lights that are brighter. I already get flashed by people that are mad at me for being too bright. I don't know how I could go any brighter. I will probably do it anyway 😊

The Bronco’s should be brighter. Their lack of brightness was the only thing keeping them from getting the highest safety recommendation- coaches/airbags- all great. They just criticized the lights. Just be sure to properly. LED cutoff is great - very defined. So if aimed correctly, the cut off point falls just below the edge of oncoming traffic’s windshields.

Did you use the spacers on both of your lights? Mine didn’t come with them. My lights are very low. Going to try the built in adjustment but don’t think it will be enough. Did you have to adjust that as well or just use the spacers? Thanks great video.

I used the provided plastic spacer shown in the video on each light - 2 total provided, and I put one on each. Additionally, on the passenger side, I put two standard metal washers, probably about 1/16-1/8th inch thick each, behind the passenger side, in addition to the single plastic one provided by Morimoto. That got both lights pretty close to the original alignment of the OEMs. From there, I used the built-in adjustment to finalize the alignment - accessed from above the light assembly after it is installed with a Philips head driver. It is a much finer adjustment, so I don’t think it has enough adjustment available to move your aim up as much as the included 1/4 inch spacer.

Thanks for the update. That is not even worth the time and effort for only $20. Hopefully it changes to something more reasonable. My understanding is that these are purchased for the secondary auto repair market - collision damage. I like the lights so much, that I may have purchased anyway, but I can see why this would now be a deal-breaker.

Something is up with your device/settings. I’ve tested the audio on multiple devices, and had friends and family check on their devices. You are the first to say you can’t hear what I’m saying. Sorry that you having an issue with playback.
