The simple answer is, he can sing like that because he was never told he couldn't. He is self taught, never had a professional lesson, he learned it all from imitating singers he heard. He has done many famous duets by himself, "Beauty And The Beast", "Phantom Of The Opera" and "The Prayer", to name a few.

Unlike Dimash who had many years of vocal training Marcelito had none....self taught. He was an orphan at the age of seven and raised himself on the street. He is a wonderful singer and an amazingly humble, kind and caring human being. Of course, “the Prayer” should be next. Then “I believe in you” the 2020 version during a livestream from his home during pandemic. Thanks for a great reaction! 👍

That's funny. Marcelito won Filipinos Got Talent in 2011. The AGT was something he turned down once and only did it when they did a competition of champions to get the prize money for his charity for the poor in the Philippines. They worked together on a weekly tv program and in 2014 Morissette was one of the bridesmaids at Marcelito's wedding.
