I must agree with some other commentators. How do we judge who is a good singer or who is a great singer. Is it the tone of the voice, the range, the control, or is it the versatility of the artist. A good singer might perform to just one genre, a great singer will cover all of the above criteria and perform to multi genres. I can't comment on Morissette but Lucy can cover Rock, pop, country, jazz, classical crossover, musical theatre and all to perfection and all of her releases were covered from the age of thirteen to her twentieth birthday in February. Surely it doesn't come any better than that - does it??

The most versatile female vocalist I've ever seen. I don't know much about Lucy, but she's outstanding also. We can enjoy both.

LOL do not really know either artist well, maybe just a wrong comparison of song choice, The first singer looks a bit younger, has a pure and pristine voice with outstanding breath control and an exceptional ability to tell the story and portray the emotional essence of song. really very impressive for this kids age. The second one seems to rely on superior voice acrobatics, in a sort of a semi-controlled cat scratch fever with a touch of soul! Like comparing Barbra Streisand to Pattie LaBelle or Pavarotti to Robert Plant! The only thing that is comparable is they are both of the female persuasion. I think the first young lady has a more versatile singing style that can be taken advantage in multiple genres of entertainment, stage. screen, etc. It will probably add significantly to her longevity as a career in the music industry Amon is a pop star, and will be used accordantly by the whims of the music industry! Then comes what may!

Lucy Thomas has several original songs including, my favorite song of the last several years in “We can change the World” but also “ Broken dreams”, “Brand new day”, “ One day” etc. I attended Lucy’s first ever solo public concert on March 5th in Manchester and she performs even better live! Morrisette is a very good singer but (for me) doesn’t have the emotional connection with the lyrics that Lucy does

I don’t know what the purpose is of you making these comparisons. 2 completely different types of songs, with completely different beats. Mori’s song is like watching a Beyoncé type song with a lot of backup singing. Neither song had much if any vocal range or belting. Lucy’s song was much more emotional. A waste of time.

Its Lucy all the way with QUALITY and powerful singing, and no vocal or set gymnastics to sell her songs, Morissette is a screamer and a vocal and set gymnastic, she cant sing so she tries to use sex to sell her music and she fails at that also.
