I prefer the fuller sound quality of her voice on Wish Bus. In Live Band version, especially at the beginning, her voice has a very high pitched sound - like the lower spectrum of sound was filtered out, so her full tone is not there. I also like the echoing background harmonies at the very end of WB. But they are equally spectacular!

Thank you so much, Direk Adonis, for making a reaction video to Morissette performing "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" on the Wish Bus. Both the live band version and the Wish Bus version are amazing. Perhaps there are some slight differences between the two. As you have mentioned, her voice sounds a bit more fresh and clearer in the Wish Bus. but it could be due to the audio equipment used. for instance, in the live band version, at the beginning of the song, something is a bit off in the mic. in the WB version, the track used has background vocals which supported and added to the beauty of the song, such as the "ako sa 'yo" bgv with the effect of we hear it first in the left ear, then in the right ear (it's cool how they did it), and in the chorus the bgv gave the layering effect. on the other hand, i agree with you, the instrumentation in the live band has a bit more edge, particularly the drums arrangement, with the "subtle suspense" and "setting up" effect. on the visuals side, i prefer the Wish Bus version, it's more bright and warm, kitang-kita talaga ang ganda at smiles ni Morissette dito, dahil diretso sa kanya ang tama ng lahat ng ilaw. One more thing that attracts attention to the Wish Bus version is Mori singing while sitting down, with her legs crossed. It amazes more the viewers how can she belt those long high notes while in that position! So, Direk, i think i must have to agree with your opinion, i also prefer the Wish Bus version, but slightly only. I still watch and listen to both versions one after another, every day. 💖

I can't say what was going on in her head delivering this Performance or the Live Band one, but what we get is flat out raw believable ache, and passion. Technique aside ,it has you on the edge from beginning to end. A fan said it reminded them vibe wise of Adele 30. Sir Johnathan Manalo the composer confirmed that elements of Adele's "Easy on Me" was inspo in the production process for the original track. That was new to me. For me just passion and execution by the artist wise, it reminds me of Lara Fabians Performance of Je Suis Malade. All around Greatness from Morissette Amon the one and only period! I'm going to keep saying it util it happens. Manifesting a Tiny Desk appearance by 3rd Avenue and Morissette in the near future!
