"I want to break things for a living" as well!!! Wow. This song arrangement has an *extremely* high difficulty level. Even Mori gets nervous singing this song, and she's top tier! She makes it more difficult when she adds her signature embellishments. It's very *rare* to see someone who can execute a song with so many high-value techniques incorporated in a performance: Her signature 'whistle tone' vocal breaks, the growl onsets, the vocal compression skills (which gives her voice that grit, plus all the different vocal colours and textural dynamics that she is known for), the rich tonal quality and resonance, the *rounded* quality of the belts (not thin and shrill like most female singers), and the emotional transference. If you watched her vlog, she was indeed hoarse for this performance, even needing steroids just to push thru. The hoarseness actually made the delivery more emotional, imo. If this was her "off" day, then please sign me up!!! Thanks again, Nick, for being my favourite reactor of all time!!!

Honestly, when I think back to the last time she was in comparable vocal condition and compare it to here, the Morissette here did things that I'm not sure even her older self could have pulled off (the placement on her belts from 9:30-10:15, in particular, is spectacular). That's a testiment to how much she has truly grown over the years, and it's so impressive to see.

I read others people's comments on, Mori was not in tip top condition. She's can't pull it up all the way, describe her voices look tired and struggling. But, l said, l do not agree, what l see, Mori is tactfully using his sitting position to improvise the song to suit on the spot condition. This is Mori always does to sing the same song in different ways of doing it.

My heart sank as the tears rolled out, when she missed the belt, I felt so bad for her, I just wanted to FIX it!! and you cant. as she said, "That's Life" Aside from the imperfections, there were so many "smiling moments" in this, I could go on for hrs, (and have in Pvt.circles). She didn't miss the FLIP, and she nailed the emotion, simply out of the Park, legs crossed and all. I don't agree that this was "simple" for her, by no means, Its a Throat Buster/ Vocal Chord killer, and I hope to never see her do it again, the several we have already got, are ENOUGH! The Lives, The Studio, and Now Wish. Its done. Its Played its Role in her Career...Now let it Rest. Nevertheless, there is no way a singer can consistently sing it perfectly at all times, Our Queen is a fresh human, not a beauty robot!! Real fact is, all depend on that day body condition and the environment. Some more, this types of suicide rhythms will make a singer out of breathe. Not all singers can doing a sitting down and still able to sang it properly. I urge you just go and refresh Morissette react this song if different setting!! It's a physiological state that happens when singers don't get enough vocal rest. It happens sometimes, but it's never something we want to see happen, especially not to Mori. I think the fans who mention her vocal health are merely expressing sadness that she's been dealing with these issues in the first place.

Great reaction again Nick as usual with Mori. You know her like we do when it comes to that insane talent. There is a reason why this was given to her. Find a singer in this planet who can sing it like her especially on this one, the insane high notes, the runs , the key change and all and I very much doubt you can. Saw that video driving to the WISH Bus and you know her voice is not there a hundred percent. Yet, she still knocked it out of the park! This song is a voice killer, no doubt about it. By doing so she sat a high standard for this song. We all saw other singers and amateurs tried to cover this song and you'll shake your head if your metric is Morissette's version.
