Morissette Amon, the Asian Phoenix, is definitely a gem and she sounds 10X better live!!! She has one of the most incredible voices I have ever heard --- and I grew up in a generation that included Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. She has definitely an incredible vocal tone, range, control and a certain whistle voice. There is something magnetic about her performance personality. She already made a duet with some international stars such as Jessie J, Michael Bolton and Jamie Miller. Recently, she sang the Disney song, Imagine More.
In this video, Morissette gave justice to Whitney Houston's song, "I Will Always Love You". The reality champion singer from the Philippines, Erik Santos did a great job also when he sang the song, "My Heart Will Go On" (at the 2nd half of the video).

I hear so many people try to sing this Whitney Houston classic, and they're all great, don't get me wrong, BUT, there are only a handful who can really do justice to this song. *Morissette, imo, is at the top of that small list.* You need to have *CORE* in your voice to really do justice to this song, and sadly, not many singers today have a developed enough chest voice to fill out the power and depth requirements for this type of song. Thankfully, we have Morissette. She is what I call a throwback singer. She is one of the few remaining 'big voice' singers in the world. A female singer with a well-developed chest voice, along with that old school "open throat" technique that gives her that rich, full tone and that lovely ringing quality to her belts. It all sounds so simple, but it's very hard to achieve. Mori achieved it. She's one of the greatest vocalists I've ever witnessed.

The majority of voice enthusiasts (those who understand voice pedagogy) consider Morissette a genius vocalist for incorporating such advanced voice effects (i.e. growls, voice breaks, voice distortions). And honestly, it's not even her use of such 'voice effects' that make Morissette's rendition of "I Will Always Love You" stand out. *It's the core, power, depth and the richness of her voice that matters most,* especially when it comes to singing this type of song. The fact that you chose to insult her artistry, says a lot about your ignorance in music, and as a human being.
