This is the first time I heard this song from Morissette and I agree with PATRICK CRUZ comment below that she "makes us feel the presence of Christmas" and I will add to that, that she also makes us feel the presence of the LORD . This arrangement and rendition by Morissette penetrates not only your heart but also your soul, and it made me so emotional and cried. Watching from Illinois USA: 11-28-2021.....early morning here. Altho' it's PANDEMIC where going to church during MISA DE GALLO was not even feasible, Morisette's rendition gives us the FULL SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS as we used to have during those GLORIOUS DAYS OF CHRISTMAS. Christmas in the Phil. starts from FIRST DAY OF BER MONTHS 1st September and we have the LONGEST CHRISTMAS SEASON worldwide.

Her One Take Cover is pure and raw vocal beauty and definitely worth a listen. Im trying so hard to be wowed by her, she has a pretty voice but I’m afraid it has no emotional impact on me and this song sounds messy and her timbre is monotone. Once you’ve listened to Gabriel, you don’t want to listen to anyone else doing it imo.
