THIS (acapella version of Rise Up w/ 3rd Avenue) and the SUNSET version of 'Love You Still' are MY TOP TWO performances of Morissette. If I recall correctly, Morissette released this at the height of the pandemic (and the serious lockdowns in the Philippines) and it gave me goosebumps and tears hearing it for the first time. SIR? got converted or learned that for Filos, it is an expression of respect, Sir 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 good show as always, except for some veiled constructive criticism of our dear Mori. During the two years of the pandemic, she was an anchor to a lot of people through her live stream and personality. This was one of them, I remember this was released on a significant day, could be her 24th birthday. Thank you for posting this. Thank you, Mori for all you did during those hard times.

Your out of body experience high power feeling when listening to her is definitely shared amongst all Mowienatics. The expression “Take Me To Church” comes to mind and used frequently when listening to her performances. In my opinion her Wish Bus version of this cover is the one that was perfect. Everything you wanted was in the Wish Bus performance. The runs and riffs the beautiful and effortless transitions the amazing agility the full control of her belts the growls and vocal breaks was all there. I highly recommend it! You're welcome. This chic has a phenomenal voice and her fans remind you every reaction video. While on one hand it may be driving traffic because you are still fresh to the game, on the other hand... it's becoming too much based on them "coming for you" in the comment section. You can always keep it fun with an occasional clapback case of who did it best to ease in other artist, talent and subscribers. Something seriously has to give. It's not the Morissette fan channel and trust she has a lot of competition out there but it's all a matter of opinion. I like your brutal honesty. I for one am a Whitney Houston fan "the voice" and admire the many contemporaries she influenced even till this day. Love Celine for her emotional connection and Mariah for her "whistle register"... 3 singers aka the vocal trinity and blueprint to pop singing. You are usually spot on in your reactions and I love that you stick to your original opinion until otherwise new info comes along to change it. I knew about the Wish Bus version but you are judging this one performance. Its like me learning Whitney Houston singing to a cold mic our National Anthem not by choice but at the direction of her band director. Viewers still connect to the song because she is actually singing "gospel jaw' and all to a cold mic (different from lip syncing) 🙏 😆 🤣

This was during the pandemic where everyone was locked at home for 2 yrs. MORISSETTE was recording at home her part. Everyone did their parts at home and their parts were sent and consolidated to make this upload. If you notice this is the same simple home backdrop of teardrop LED lights she used when she recorded Defying Gravity.

Adonis Tabanda ( top left box ) has lead his group 3RD AVE last 8 or 9 years, and have backed up Mori since 2016, as he is her musical director. Yeah, there's a lot of "cheating" going in the mixing of this video. Their musical director made a BTS video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hGSTYX-ZhdtqkKc He's done things like duplicating voices for more richness (OK, not as egregious), using an octaver to drop his voice down an octave for more bass, then actually adding real drum kicks and high hats where he is "beatboxing", and later in the song, he uses a bunch of instruments (9:25 and 15:30 of the video). Yeah, that's not cool and is not "a cappella".

we understand that percussion was Dave's idea, and Mori loves Dave. But these are all hearsay. Any criticism on the arrangement should be directed to the musical director, Adonis Tabanda. I am sure he will learn. He was also the guy who arranged the Bruno medley. He's got two panels when they showed eight panels.

imo perfect vs. not perfect is not the best lens to look through, because there's a fair bit of subjectivity that goes into music and thus the subsequent reaction videos. So to say "we know this cover is not perfect"...I dunno if everyone is going to agree with that (and that's ok). Marc does do what I personally care for the most in a reactor, which is to give their honest opinion in a respectful way, so I'm 100% with you on that 🙂 Sometimes I agree with him, other times I don't, but I always appreciate his approach to his videos.
