Great reaction, Peter. There are a lot of great singers out there but there's just something special about Morissette. She's got it all. Incredible tone in all her registers and total ease in switching between them. Fantastic dynamic range from a breathy whisper to a powerful belt. But best of all, she infuses her performance with so much emotion and it's absolutely enthralling. Every performance is a master class by a generational artist who is really coming into her own.

Oh i'm so happy that you chose this beacuse there is a live version with her band which is excellent but for me, this is much better....just technically speaking. On this day, this was her last gig and she was battling a cold. Literally was taking cough syrup in the car before arriving at the location. This song is one of the hardest song in the Philippines due to the phrasing and how high this thing is. This is a cover and the original artist is Sheryn Regis. But the way Mori perfroms this and as she always does, the emotion she draws out of a song, a performance is unmatched. This song is like an anthem. It's about someone deciding whether to stay or go from a doomed relationship. The title translates to "I want to let go" I see it as an anthem because at the end, the singer/person chose themselves and releasing themselves from a toxic and doomed relationship. The last line says, "I"ll choose me/myself" Sitting down, cross legged, sick with cold and still pulling off a performance like this???? Well, she is our Mori afterall. Take care Peter. Thank you so much, Peter, for this awesome reaction and vocal analysis of Morissette performing "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" on the Wish Bus. I wish they have placed subtitles to it so you could understand the lyrics. It translates to "I Already Want To Let Go" and is about wanting to be free of a toxic relationship or affair. This song was originally sung by another Filipina singer. When the producers of a TV drama series "The Broken Marriage Vow" included it in the OST, they asked Morissette to do the rendition. That's when it became viral and popular, because of the way she delivered it, more intense and that "belting sprint" you mentioned towards the last minute and a half. 🥰 I agree with you, there's not many singers who could do it this way Mori did. It's actually one of the most difficult OPM (Original Pinoy Music) songs to sing. Even Mori admits that. She even added her signature squeaks to it, that no other singer, even the other belters, can replicate. I usually don't listen to popular artists, because I think the majority of really great singers stay rather underground (especially with current music trends), but nice that at least some of them do make it big. As for requests, you know mine and I'm going to stick to it :D I know he's not this perfect but I still do think that Son Jin Wook's high belts are also pretty insane, especially for an underground, mostly self trained rock singer.

The original singer is also a belter and they had a duet sometime ago. She said it was really quite a hard song to sing. If you notice this time her legs are crossed. I know another singer who sang this way. Technically does it help training yourself to sing on a cross leg? That artist is her Idol who can sing high as well.
