Thank you so much. I really enjoy doing it. Even the most seemingly mundane articles seem interesting to me because of the way mormons think and act.

This is disgusting. They are making too much fuss about these temples.

The church is bullying this town and it's not right...and I am a Mormon, and I think for myself just like other Mormon women do..

It’s true that they are being bullies. I thought I thought for myself when I was Mormon too. 😬

I have never had a problem with putting my name on the prayer roll. It is sad that so many people feel so helpless but I have to say, it isn't only in the church. I have seen it outside the church. The facts are that it has always been a man's world and I don't see it changing any time soon.

Wear white but don’t look weird? It is summer, maybe that will help with the color choice, oddly not a choice. Liked your tips to make your own choices.

I agree. It was fun to do anyhow because it doesn’t mean anything. I could do it without any strings attached and without feeling like I had to be extra faithful.

I grew up in heavily LDS areas as an evangelical Christian. Moved away for several years and came back recently. When wearing my cross, I can't tell you how many furrowed brows, side eyes and downright dirty looks I've had in stores, restaurants, and through other interactions in LDS communities. Even within the last few years. Now, the LDS church wants to embrace the cross - one of the very things used to communicate to me that I was "less." Though it would be easy to do, I try to not take offense. I mostly find it sad that the meaning of the cross to the LDS church is rooted in promotion, instead of unconditional love, sacrifice, and redemption.
@GenerallyUnquotable2 ай бұрын
Yes. The LDS church is accepting the cross so that they will be more acceptable to Christians…not because their feelings about the cross have changed.

I am not an expert but that broken sink looks suspiciously dry underneath I would think a sink smashed like that would be leaking some water from some where. From a news report I saw the carpet was damaged from a fire extinguisher going off the foot prints look like a mans dress shoe with the toe and heel separated not like a sneaker.

I have two aunts that live in Texas (Houston and Dallas) several of my cousins attended our Family Reunion for the 24th at our mountain home near Park City.. when I asked them, What's up with the McKinney Temple?" Most replied, "We really haven't been following much of it!" When no one wanted to attend Sacrament during that week it dawned on me that I'm more obsessed with the Church (from the outside) than most of my relatives. I think I might need therapy! lol ps, Growing up, some of the rowdy kids (young teenagers) would break into the wardhouse/stake center and swim in the baptism font...they actually had a set of keys, I didn't swim, we set up a volleyball game which seemed a better choice! As always, Thank You for your beautiful smile and informative/humorous content. Have a Great Weekend! Hugs!

Had a very awkward convo with some relatives about the Mckinney temple situation. They had NO IDEA the church was bullying people with their temple building. They actually said "That doesn't sound like my church." 😩 So. Clueless.

No desire to subscribe to your podcasts. We are not the Mormons. That’s a nick name. It’s true and original name is The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Follow Him not the world 🌎

"I suppose that regardless of our efforts, we may never convert the world to general use of the full and correct name of the Church. Because of the shortness of the word Mormon and the ease with which it is spoken and written, they will continue to call us the Mormons, the Mormon church, and so forth. They could do worse. More than fifty years ago, when I was a missionary in England, I said to one of my associates, “How can we get people, including our own members, to speak of the Church by its proper name?” He replied, “You can’t. The word Mormon is too deeply ingrained and too easy to say.” He went on, “I’ve quit trying. While I’m thankful for the privilege of being a follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Church which bears His name, I am not ashamed of the nickname Mormon.” “Look,” he went on to say, “if there is any name that is totally honorable in its derivation, it is the name Mormon. And so, when someone asks me about it and what it means, I quietly say-‘Mormon means more good.’” -President Hinkley
