Sad. Many many cases in the LDS church. Even the most elite are guilty but covered up with money. There's so many I'm sure we'll never know all but we do not need to. I do pray for the victims, they will be able to forgive and become very strong and happy people, living their best lives. Not holding this pain, grudges no matter the outcome. God bless

Thank you! There are certainly good ( and not so good) people in every religion. I would love for the church to get healthier but I am not holding my breath for that to happen in my lifetime. So much change needs to happen. I try to celebrate the baby steps but it's so difficult when I see the carnage every day.

@@CanadianAnglican there are plenty of ex-Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, Jews, evangelicals, Catholics and other post religious folks who make vides about their experiences that may seem harsh, sometimes the truth is not easy to hear. There are a lot of similarities between those high demand groups and mormonism.

Confirmation and Gift of the Holy Ghost (clarified that bishops hold keys for confirmations of 8-year-old children of record only; revised language to allow converts to be confirmed either at the baptismal service or in sacrament meeting)

They used to make temples clothes back in the beginning of thw church. I was recently looking into that history. So weird. Also, funny thing, the color wasn't always white.

I read "Wife No. 19", written by one of Brigham Young's wives and she said that in the early days of the temple ceremony when Satan says "go hide", the patrons would actually run around the room and hide. Hahahaha. I would love video footage of that!

The updates from the handbook are accurate. The news that is repeated from other sources is just that. Commentary changes from objective news to personal opinion. My suggestion would be to keep your channel pure old fashioned journalism. I continue to watch every day but you would vastly increase your readership overnight if you considered making it pure journalism. Thanks for the time and research. If even an honest effort is made I will subscribe and advertise and be a huge fan.

I am going to continue to do what I like to do. The commentary is what makes it mine. I am not here to win people over. I simply read the news and comment on what comes up for me. If that's not your jam, that's okay. I am practicing using the phrases "I don't feel like it" and "No thanks" and I will employ those here. Growing up as a woman in the church, I was conditioned to default to the opinions of others (especially men) and I am working on being confident in knowing what works for me...this is one of those things. Thanks for offering your opinion though.

How do we know you're grinding an axe with the church and not genuinely concerned about the sexual abuse? Easy. Sexual abuse occurs in virtually ever definable population or group. So whether the Church is making that easier or harder is easy enough to discern. Does abuse occur more or less in the Church than among other populations? Nobody has a solution for sexual abuse since it happens everywhere, but anyone who actually cared about this issue would look at it and say "which groups have a lower proclivity to engage in this?" and look for best practices there. IF you found that the Church was outperforming other groups, you would actually be sad you lost your axe. It's not about the abuse for you. How do I know? Because every world ill you care about is associated with the Church. They can't be responsible for all of them.

Obviously it has nothing of the sort and is useless in protecting children. Another man made claim proven false or at least just about useless in a real world application. Definitely not the LDS - Mormon church, they have dragged their heels on having a child protection policy and screening it's members (working with children) with a relevant criminal 'check' here in the UK. Ridiculous that ordinary church members (21st Century Saints) had to campaign and pressure the leaders to finally adopt this policy, when every other religious institution in the UK has had them for years/decades (except JW's cult - no surprise there).

Yes Tyler, but they hold themselves out as an institution NOT on the same level as "the world", but as something vastly and even infinitely superior. They are not supposed to be a part of, or on the same level with, "every definable population or group." They tell the members not to lie, then they go and do it at nearly every turn, even when there is no good reason to. They tell their members to forgive and repent, but they "do not issue apologies." They tell their members to have "sufficient for their needs," and that they themselves as an institution "are not wealthy," and then it is all found to be a blatant lie. They are hypocrits, pure and simple. "Rules for thee, but not for me." What group of people in the new testament did Jesus attack more than any other? The Pharisees. And it was because of their hypocrisy. He rarely had a good thing to say about them. So Tyler, don't be too surprised or "put out" if people attack one of the biggest hypocritical organizations they have dealt with. They deserve the criticism. They bring it on themselves.

It's when a church protects the pedophiles and has tried to make their own laws . The LDS church protects their pedophiles unfortunately. Catholics , Jehovah's , Exedra they don't tax 10 percent each member a month . They can't afford to protect the masons the way the LDS does . Look buddy, when millions of girls who told their Bishop about being sexually assaulted then the Bishop tells you to forgive the assailant, as a child, then the Bishop accused you of seeking out being "pleasured" by an adult, then asks if it was worth losing taking the sacrament.. the Bishop was sexually aroused by hearing the details because he calls you into his office 2x a month for more inquisitions about the ongoing assault, then tells a child they are making the sex abuse happen by returning to where it happens; AT HOME. Later, you find that the Bishop tells the mother to attend her callings when the abuse happens to keep her out of the home, because men who molest children are faithful extortion tithes payers and until child sex abuse is no longer profitable, this marketing model of money in exchange for blaming children gor their own abuse proves the church needs to be fines every time children are harmed according to the wealth it holds because unless the fines are greater than the money criminals pay, child abuse will continue to be a major money making industry of this self declared sex cult with an unnamed apparition with lightsaber threatening men with death unless they molest a teenager, pretending she's the nineteenth plural wife, which is plain old adultery; a polished turd in Mormonism. You can spray paint that turd gold and add glitter but it's still shit.

The Church males money on child sex abuse. When it's no longer profitable, it will stop. Perhaps no child should be allowed to join since Mormons are unwilling or unable to stop the cycle of receiving money inexchange to silence child victims. Business is booming, and children are doomed.
