My father Edward Killeen USMC on the USS TENN Marine detachment a Pearl Harbor survivor was in the crows nest at the time of the attack Dec. 7th 1941 and could see the refection of the sun off the gold teeth of the Japanese pilot. He ran down the stairs to his bugle and the captain yelled sound general quarters this is not a drill all men to their battle stations. He went on to battle of the Coral Sea, Saipan bazooka man combat wounded, and Iwo Jima. He said he wasn't the hero it was the ones that didn't make it back were. God bless all the vets past and present. Steve Killeen son of Edward Killeen USMC 1922 - 2014 CA. Vets. Cemetery, Dixon, CA.

As a United States Air Force retiree, a Later-day Saint, and a natural-born citizen of this great nation I thank you for recording this outstanding rendition of the Armed Forces Medley. I was a little disappointed to hear the words of the Air Force Song altered, however. I understand the rationale and the purpose, but I still find it disappointing. Thank you for the beautiful music honoring our men and women in uniform, our veterans, and all those who "gave the last full measure of devotion." God bless this great choir. And thank you for blessing all of us who have worn the uniform(s) of our nation, and wrote her a blank check redeemable for our very lives if necessary. And finally, God bless the USA.

Thank you for your service! Your sacrifices have definitely helped the United States stay safe. In my own opinion, I respectfully think that the one by Vocal Majority is better(. It may just be because I’m a sucker for men’s barbershop) They have it done in a different order though. My favorite anthem, Anchors Aweigh, is done beautifully, as is the air force. I do not know about the word change, it’s not in the top of my head. Have a good day!

@42apostate6 жыл бұрын
Patrick. I too was a Vietnam vet and LDS at the time. The white on the American flag originally represented purity and righteousness. For THAT reason I agree with you...we should get rid of the white because it does not represent today's America. In fact, I support getting rid of the flag altogether, as well as the National [WAR] Anthem AND the pledge of allegiance. NONE of those represent America today. America today is a criminal organization run by Mafia types promoting perpetual war under the guise of a "War on Terror"...which is total bull***t. As long as the paradigm exists of, "war is good for the American economy", perpetual war is inevitable. The ONLY WAY to fix this situation is for the American people to wake up and refuse to vote and refuse to pay income taxes.
@42apostate6 жыл бұрын
The correct and accurate, representative US flag would be the blue ball earth set on a fire-engine red background, with "NWO" placed just above the blue ball earth. This would represent America more precisely than any previous fairytale and falsely propagandized representation.

My conclusion is that the sequence is whatever you like, there is no why. This recording goes Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Marines. Disney has a video posted that uses the sequence Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard, Air Force. I have a CD published by the U.S. Armed Forces Symphony, that presents Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Marines, Air Force. The National Memorial Day Concert, held on government property in front of the Capitol, attended by a lot of the highest-ranking officers of all military branches, and approved by the Army and National Park Service, presents Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marines, Army.

@Hardia8824 жыл бұрын
No, it is not in wrong order. The branch of service performing the medley always play their song last in the sequence. In this case, USMC closes the medley with the Marine Hymn. If the Army Band was performing, they would play their song last, etc., etc.
@glibbergloop3 ай бұрын
Didn't know there is an order Maybe it was done this way to fit musically together a certain way
