Iam a Classically/Operatically trained Lyric Mezzo-soprano. I can sing from E3-D6. I used to train as a Lyric Coloratura Soprano before my voice got more matured and heavier. I used to have a vocal range from A3-Ab6 way back then. Though, I turned to a Lyric Mezzo-soprano, I just wonder why when I joined the church choir, they placed me with the Sopranos? , Though I can sing both parts just fine, I just wonder why? For all I know Sopranos have brighter and more silvery vocal colour/timber compared to us Mezzo-sopranos
