The origins of the lyrics were written around the "peak" of the no NUKES protest late 1960's & the writer (Joan Baez?) I believe, is referring to the fall out of a nuclear explosion, if you listen & easily interpret it is clear. This is a war nuclear protest song. Nice job on the song Scott!
