The 80's was loaded with great movies, but you are correct. It depends on your personal experience and interests. I would have added Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Karate Kid, etc. I loved horror movies at that age! Friday the 13th scared the living crap out of me. Nightmare on Elm St took that to a new level. Honestly, I think you could only do it justice by doing the top 10 in each genre.

there are a ton of channels that do various movie lists. After this one, I think I'll leave that to them :-)

Some of those movies we have watched. I think it depends on your taste and interests. The Goonies, Feris Bulers Day Off, Back To The Future, Star Wars, The Man From Snowy River, Quigley Down Under were some that I liked.
