For example, the man who showed up with weapons around an FBI office and ended up being shot after Trump said the FBI needed to be done away with. The Republicans who voted to impeach him have been targeted with death threats. The prosecutors are not going to go to a social media platform and start blasting the witnesses on the defendants side. It is also to protect the jury, which is why it is anonymous and they cannot have the court session be recorded, because the jury's lives would be at risk, and if they are receiving death threats they might influence how they make their decisions. The gag order isn't stopping his first amendment he can still speak out about many things, he is just not allowed to speak about the witnesses and the case, the jury members, or family members of the Court or witnesses etc. this is all very common. The only thing that is uncommon is that generally, if someone else was being tried for something like this and they violated the gag order three times they would generally be in prison by now but I'm sure trump, because he gets so much leniency will be allowed to violate it more times.
