I absolutely love how the dad doesn't talk down to his daughter, he just talks to her like any other person being while being clear, respectful and patient. 🥰 That's all any of us need ❤ I also peep the engagement and willingness to allow her to function and experience in the real world too. Your videos have been very helpful, my son is non verbal and autistic and honestly up until this year when we moved to a totally different state (for more assistance) we did not receive much help or information on how to help him and your channel has helped me as a mother find things to help him communicate with us and helped me understand what he needs! I was thinking the same thing. My son says no a lot and he doesn’t listen, so I don’t say it in a question form I just tell him come on go put that away, go pick up your room, come on let’s go get your shoes on, whatever it is, so I don’t ask him to do some thing he’s supposed to do anyway, I tell him. Otherwise I will hear a big fat no.

Maybe stop asking her if she wants to do certain things that in the long run she really has no choice about...LOL! I mainly say that as I was SO guilty of doing it with my son and my mon would call me on it ALL the time!! She would say, "stop ASKING him because of course he is going to say no, start TELLING him"! She really did have a point though I hated to admit it 😂😉! Happy Father's Day and looks like a fun adventure so far!!

Hi. I love your videos! 😍❤ I have autism myself and it's such a struggle for me, too. But I try to cope with it. Still working on that. I love my marshmallows golden brown, but not burnt. With Hershey's milk chocolate in between two graham crackers. It's better roasting a marshmallow in a fire better than a microwave.

OG Hershey bar s’mores for sure!!!!! Q: you mentioned that when A wakes up/gets up then you have to be up as well. Does A need supervision at all times for safety? Or can she get up and watch her iPad or something/get herself cereal? I am fairly new to the channel and don’t mean to ask redundant q’s that you’ve answered often in previous blogs. But there’s no way to scan back through all that content not knowing even where to look. So I appreciate your patience with me. This q applies to when you are at home, too. Does someone need to always be up and supervising while A is awake?

He’s right about there’s always a grumpy person who complains. I saw on my nextdoor app with a lady complaining about kids swimming in their pool and making too much noise. I saw the best and also saddest response from another neighbor. She told them many kids died at the school shooting in Texas and will never get to celebrate summer again so they should be able to swim and enjoy summer because they are just kids.

On you left next big trip you should try to get up to the 1000 islands. It is the border of the United States and Canada in New York. Its this beautiful magical place, it’s a fresh water river with massive fish. You can camp at the Wesley island state park, I grew up spending my summers up there. There’s two castles up there (bolt castle on heart island and singer castle on dark island) both of which you can visit. In Alexandria Bay New York there is a drive-in movie theater wear a cost below $10 to see two movies. It’s just a very laid-back place. If you were ever to make it up I would go in August when Alexandria Bay has their pirate invasion it is two weeks long and it is full of different activities and an actual invasion and fight between pirates and the redcoats and the Pirates win and take over the town.
