Ryan you need to remember it us not perfection that counts but the quality of time you spend with each child. Look at it this way, when they have children of their own, the found memories and laughter they will impassion on . How many FATHERS of inter - ethnical children does their children hair and is willing to show the learning curve on social media - internet as a whole???? Be proud of yourself!!!!

Don't worry about perfection or losing patience, when I was 7 or 8 years old, my mom lost it and cut my hair (with a proper hairstyler.) Even to this day I lose my patience with my own hair every now and then and consider to cut it off, so it's part of the process.

Good effort! 2/6 forworking with deceptively fine hair which unravels easily. It’s clearly a labour of love . Very patient daughter too so gradually she’ll get used to a firmer hold close to her scalp. As practice makes perfect more attempts will stand you in good ‘braid’. 👏🦾👏

Sometimes braids will unravel without help. My mom use to accuse me of messing with my hair after she braided my hair. I told her that I didn't do it. So after she rebraided my hair, I asked her to wait a few minutes and she saw for herself how my braids came loose without my help. Anyway I totally admire how you don't shy away from doing your children's natural hair. It just takes practice. Take your time.

This is great, it took me forever to get my four boys right doing comparitively simple clipper cuts in daddy's rock and roll barber shop and just detangle my two daughters long hair. Now it's all precious memories and I'm sitting here a bit jealous 😁

Ryan hang in there. My youngest Granddaughter, whom by the way is biracial, has actually banned me from doing her hair, and honestly I am relieved. I knew that I did well but she unlike Madison, is Very impatient and boasteous. Her outbreaks drew so much attention, that now she and her Dad are the responsible parties in getting her very long and very thick hair done. Twist in the opposite direction to make tighter. In other words twist the hair up towards the top of her head. Once at the top change direction of twist again
