Just as other people wouldn't wear shoes at home on a Sunday, I prefer not to wear my prosthetic leg when I don't need to go outside.

I broke my tablet today and I thought it was the end of the world but when I saw this video it inspired me and I thought to my self I am so dumb there are people that are physically injured and have to live like this for the rest of their life and my tablet can be repared but some type of things like this can't this REALLY INSPIRED me a lot. After I watch one of these I go hug my mum and dad and I tell them how grateful I am to have everything. At first they thought I was joking then I showed them this video and they understood why I was being grateful. I'm not trying to brag that I have everything. I think it's beautiful that you have a cat, your a very strong person to be able to cope with that and live it, you should be really proud, just because your u don't have two legs like most other people, that does not make you any different to the person you would be with two legs, it's really good being so young that you are so strong, you should always try and be strong and you will be a happier person, you don't let things Like that get you down you learn to live the life and love the person that you are:) you are beautiful and always will be, a limb will never change that:)

Eloise Awesomeballs Honestly? Thats a very toxic way to feel. Just because someone else is in a worse position than you are doesn't mean you can't feel negatively about your situation. Hi. I have a right BKA. But it hasn't stop me from proudly wearing my prosthetic daily from 6am to 12am 7 days a week, and giving love and care to my elderly mother. I was really impressed by the way she just went on about her day and doesn’t get frustrated or mad having to make all those trips back and forth to the kitchen while preparing her bfast. And then I caught myself thinking if that were me, I’d be trying to Macgyver something over that stub so I can work with both hands to make things easier. She’s very patient and industrious great job girl! GOD bless you.

So I have a question. Is it that the prosthesis is uncomfortable to wear ? Is easier for you to just use the crutches, and that you feel that your leg needs a break from it ?

Sometimes it just bothers to wear it if I really want to get comfortable. It's kind of like with women and bras. We wear it because it's "necessary" and we don't mind or even notice it when we have it on but when we get rid of it at the end of the day it's just the best feeling in the world. It's just more comfy.

Many amputees prefer not using their prosthesis,or prostheses, because they are heavy, difficult to use and not comfortable.

Even if it's not uncomfortable, I can't imagine having a chunk of plastic stuck to your leg could ever be quite as comfortable as not having it, LOL. I love the analogies because it's true - I would never wear a bra or shoes at home!

my grandfather was disabled from a flesh eating bacteria given to him from being in the war. he couldn't take it, ate his life away, and eventually killed himself. Thank you for posting this, I hope you remain strong, healthy, and beautiful.

i lost my left leg in a work accident 2 month ago, those chores are tuff, i use cruches to get around and was fitted 2 weeks ago, stay strong girl! i use to fly commercial and am working on getting a waiver to fly again, never let this hold you back, sky is the limit, literally!

Thank you, I'm still struggling, post op 9 months same leg, but mine is below knee and no, I can't use a prosthesis due to other neuro issues. I have no peer support, so I go to KZbin... I found this, thank you, I'm not unusual and I can and will get the hang of it. I know we usually don't like hearing that we are an inspiration just for moving about... But to me, a fellow amputee, you have inspired me, to get out of bed today. Bad leg, or bad no leg day, lol.
