It's great to see what you do with your 5 piggies in 3 cages! I currently have 4 males in 2 cages and am thinking of stacking another cage and adding a herd (of females and a neutered male)😊. Caring for multiple cages adds a little bit extra time for floor time having to take them out separately but I love all my piggies so I don't mind...and I wouldn't mind having more piggies to spend time with 🤔

My boys do the same thing, they eat the random stray pieces of hay on the floor when they’re roaming around the room and also when I’m spot cleaning they act like the hay I’m talking away is the last hay on earth ever 🤣🤣

I know I’m late to the party but first of all, we both like butterflies. I have a butterfly tattoo and was immediately drawn to your shirt. Then I knew destiny took over for me to subscribe because we both use a black and decker dust buster, although I use mine for both home and work. I don’t clean for a living, but my work does require employees to clean up at the end of our shifts. You could go to a flooring store and ask them for the cheapest vinyl flooring (that’s all in one sheet, not in pieces) and cut it to the size of the room since it’s not that big of a room. Then take everything out of the room, vacuum the carpet really really well and then just lay the vinyl flooring on top of the carpet. No need to actually replace the carpet with it. But it’ll be easier to sweep and mop so it’ll be cleaner too. You could even divid the room into thirds with the C and C grids (leaving yourself enough room in front of the door for walking and storage). That way each enclosure would be a fourth of the room. Just make sure the boy’s cage is surrounded with the coroplast so he can’t mate through the bars. Just some ideas 😁

Hi! When I adopted Honey she was actually already very tame, as well as Waffles. With my other pigs I spent a lot of time talking to them and attempting to hand feed them. It took me a few months to get them to warm up to me, so just be patient. There’s also a lot of good KZbin videos on how to tame your guinea pigs

Most guinea pigs don’t climb out if the grids are the 14” high ones! Some occasionally do but it’s not very common.

Will they eat any at all? Most piggies love carrots.. and Romaine lettuce.. and cucumbers …see if you can tempt them with those.. just don’t feed carrots every day as they have too much sugar.. sometimes you have to offer them the same veggies like 5 to 10 times before they feel comfortable trying them… just leave them in the cage for hours..and some piggies are picky and won’t eat certain veggies (like Honey in the video not eating yellow peppers).. My piggies love fresh parsley and cilantro - we have a discount grocery store… I can get a handful of each for less than $1.. Just keep trying! You will find veggies that they will eat,,, Are they old or young pigs?

I would just keep trying to offer them. Some people say even eating veggies next to the guinea pigs or playing a video of guinea pigs eating veggies is helpful

I change my fleece once a week! If it gets wet to the touch before that I change it sooner. You should make sure to have something absorbable underneath like towels or washable puppy pads.

Hi! You have two options for fleece liners! 1. Two separate layers, an absorbing one and a wicking (fleece) one. This is what I do. For the absorbing layer you can use towels or washable puppy pads (this is what I use). For fleece the best place to buy it is joanns and there are youtube videos on how to wick it before putting it in the cage on top of your absorbing layer 2. Pre-made liners that have the absorbing layer and wicking layer already sewn together. You can find these on Etsy, Kavee Cage, Guineadad, etc. You can also sew liners yourself if you have sewing skills.

I suggest holding them, feeding them, and making them feel comfortable with you, when i first got my piggies they were the same way but we held them and now we are feeding them fresh veggies every morning which they love! So just giving them attention but not too much! Hope this helps!

You can wash it in the sink or bathtub, thats what I do, my parents are really strict so I just wash it like that with gloves
