I really enjoyed making the ‘making of’ for ‘my only love’, so i’ve made another one, here’s the making of ‘morningside’. I hope you like it!
Stream 'morningside' here: moby.la/morning...
'Morningside' is taken the new Moby album 'All Visible Objects.'
Stream 'All Visible Objects' here: moby.la/allvisi...
Moby makes generous regular donations from all music income to animal rights organisations outlined on the below link. The album track list can be found among them.
moby.la/avohomeYo
Over the last 10 years Moby has been donating 100% of the profits from most of his work to animal and human rights charities. His free film music site, mobygratis, his festival Circle V, his restaurant, and his last few albums have all donated 100% of their profits to animal and human rights.

You’ve got to respect the fact that he’s not sitting in some decked-out studio with all kinds of acoustic panels and million-dollar consoles glowing in the background. Just a guy...in his house...with some instruments...making music. Thanks for sharing, Moby! Please do another one! 👏

He has a big collection of gear (unless he sold it all), but being in a cluttered room can be distracting, minimising the studio with a select few items for now can help declutter your mind and help focus, the rest can stay in storage for another day.

Moby, I used to work as a recording engineer in major label recording studios 15 years ago. Back then, I honored the policy of keeping interactions between myself and famous clients professional. I remembered one time when I debated with myself, "what if I do a session with Moby?" I decided then, I DGAF, I'd pour my heart out and straight up tell you how influential your music is to me. I now work as an automotive engineer, but I still enjoy watching videos about making EDM. Thank you for doing these how-to videos. I wish you would have made them available 15 years ago.

I just listened to M"s audio book and moved to listen to music from this mind. Each song I listened to took me closer to all that is important in the world and released me from trivial mind trap succubus. MOBY such a special human being I am not sure of this realm. Gratitude for teaching us all your inspiration in this video. I head right over to my keyboard after watching. If not for my head and ears to play, for my soul. And tomorrow head to the ocean the greatest rhythm there is for the head heart and soul. Moby should forever live and glide along this earth influencing the ear and soul like the vibration of the glass harmonica and know his creativity through music touches souls and changes thier thought patterns from dark to light. If you reach one person to feel enchanted by your music seraphim; but you've changed millions. Live it! Know it. Keep on!

Моби - бесспорный мастер. К сожалению, для многих он отошел от популярного направления и сосредоточился на более экспериментальной музыки. Многие меломаны проиграли от этого, так как такую музыку не ставят на радио и не включают в хитпарады

I have followed your work for years. Porcelain was my favourite song when it came out, and it's still my favourite. I've been to every concert you've ever given in Vancouver Canada. And not sure if you remember, but you and I chatted while you were on stage at the Vogue theatre in Vancouver, you kindly autographed your song list while you were on stage and gave it to me. I framed it, along with my concert ticket from that night, and it's hung on my wall ever since. You're amazing!

My very first Keyboard was a Yamaha mini synth and I had no idea how to use it. I met a drummer that was on tour (1994) and he showed me the proper way to use it and , it was history after that. I truly miss it. I would program bass lines/beats/ techno bits and I would play guitar with it. I made many recordings, too bad I still don't have those. One thing I will say though is that when you create everything yourself, you need to call other's in because you start to sound the same over and over again. I know that you know what I mean. Haha. It's not a matter of how well you are with recording/programing but jamming with people keeps you fresh I think. your sound. If that makes sense? I have been playing alone for a while now and it just sounds like a lot of the same, however one can argue that , that is my major note or notes that come out of me. But when I would play with others, they would let me take the lead and I didn't really want that all the time. If ever, I always just had an ear to sound out the entire space and play from there which I enjoyed. My question to you is What do you think is the difference and why do you chose one over the other? Instead of writing your own songs vs creating them with others? Is that an Ego thing? hahaha.

It's super interesting to hear what you were going for in regards to the ocastral part of the song. "like more grand like the end of the world kinda thing. Because even though you described that before you played that part.. what I got was the feeling of it being the really low part of the story and everything has been tried and you feel like it's the end .. but then the music plays like that as it leads up to a major change in the story abd it's revealed that it's not the end and things are going to be ok for.... Whatever that might be. All in all I doubt that will make any sense but to break it down simply I felt hope from it rather then hopelessness or end if the world kinda feel... It sounds great for sure .. thank you fir sharing Moby!!

Thank you Moby. I hope that you are right and that many will see what is truly important in life. There are many beautiful people and many beautiful souls For those being misguided, I hope they will find the right paths. It seems during the times which so much sadness and darkness it is people like you who are most inspiring to hear and learn from. While I am not a music artists, I find myself at times writing bits of what I would like to call a song but then I lose that feeling that made me think of the words and just can't get that feeling back to complete any of it. I hear the music and the tones and it puts me in this place with all these feelings and trying to express them in words to match the melody but then an interruption which I can't avoid comes about and it just vanishes. Do you get times like that? I really think you would be an awesome person to meet in person. Just to let you know, I appreciate all you do. I will have to introduce my daughter to some of your music. I don't think I have played any of it for a while. Course I have not played much music at all in a while with all that has been happening in my life. I need to start doing that again on a regular basis. I felt much better when I did that.
