Morocco has always been open and frank with its co- African countries. Morocco suggests partnerships where we can work together to develop together. We don’t want to do favors for Africa we want to work together with Africa to stand up together in a win-win partnerships. It’s time for Africa to get up and do something for itself and for its people.

We are africans but most africans reject it because we look different and speak different instead of taking it personally. we understood where they were coming from and speak like strangers in our own continent. I undestand how weird it feels from your prespective. Its basically the way your parents treat you when you come to their house which you grew up in and have all the memories in after getting your own place it feels weird and foreign but understandable. We believe we are african but we understand the pain our darkskinned brothers went through was bigger and that they are wary of light skinned people and foreiners and rightfully so.

What's funny and sad at the same time, North Africans are down to collab with anyone, but they get dismissed from Arabs because they're not from Arabia, they get dismissed by Africans because they're Arabs with different skin tone, they get dismissed by Europeans because they're Arab Africans.... Gaddafi was pro Arab and pro African, in fact he was one of the most vocal leaders demanding African unity!! Why we treat our African brothers this way when they're so beneficial for us??! They have oil and oil bros, they have access to the Mediterranean, they're more favourable for European trade, and they have the best military on the continent, unlike other military, these ones didn't endanger us.

I can assure you we never betrayed a country. In the middle of the Gulfe Crisis against Qatar (who aren't our best friends either), we even decided to stay neutral, the king himself went to visit in the middle of the Gulfe embargo on them and we strained our strong relationship with KSA. We were also a country that did accept to provide them with food and stuff (of course, they paid us, it wasn't aid at all) while others refused because of that said embargo. We could have kept ourselves out of all this and stay with our historical allies, KSA and UAE but we didn't. Moving back to our continent. We had all interests to keep cooperation with other western African countries (we're in the North Western side) and make things as easy as possible for everybody because it will make trade and riches move better for all of us. We have no interest in dealing with desperate countries since we don't have any imperial desires toward them, but we need allies to keep all of us on the right track to become wealthy countries.

Tired of explainin this. Morocco = "soft" NATO in Africa. Not tryin to defend those sell outs from subsaharan countries, but Morocco's not a friend, on the contrary ! This is resources reorientation: those ecowas sell outs close doors, morocco's regime opens another, but the flux is reshaped to serve... the West market, to which morocco's highly dependent. What's at stake ? The recognition, by the colonial masters, of morocco's hold over the western Sahara. Again, we are pawns to a chess game between 02 or 03 rival Arab cousins, both under western scrutiny. My opinion is that this video is really misleading on the real game. Mr Mwekassa's geopolitics must be upgraded.

You need to be realistic and as Africans (I'm Moroccan by the way), we need to be aware of the realities of the world. When you're at war, always leave an "escape" to an enemy to "keep face" for further negotiation later because the enemy of today can be the friend of tomorrow. Politics always shift and whether we like it or not, those "colonial forces" are also nuclear powers, we can't just mess with them. However, we do have sovereignty and we must exercise, we must also cooperate to make sure that when one is having to deal with those forces, another country can "mediate", be it Morocco, Mali, Burkina Faso or any other country.

Listen man everybody looking out for their own interest when it comes to Africa. as long as the Sahel can keep the relationship to business only and not trying to big up these countries as friends, brothers or whatever, they’ll be ok. That’s why I’ve always wonder how is it a small country like France was able to have such a stronghold in Africa. The answer is that French was looking out for French interests and African leaders were looking To make friends for crumbs.

And that's ok. If you are an invader then you are not African. That goes for ALL europeans, arabs, Indians(unless you came with other Africans during pre-colonial times) and anyone else. The Moroccan is a mixed breed no doubt, but I say, if you are a foreigner in Africa, you must live side by side Africans in peace. But if you cannot live on the African continent with Africans in peace, then you must leave or we will make you leave in due time.

Zack, shouldn't you find it interesting that after the other illegal states of Africa refuse the AES of passage, then Morroco comes forward to say "yes?" Be careful of who you call a friend My Brother. We go through the same things here in the states, but the only solution is to teach UNITY, as opposed to more division. Blessings and ONE LOVE!

Arab is a culture, not a people. They don't know even who they are. They are Eurasians just like their relatives today who call themselves Europeans. Do people know who these people are? Anyone can be an Arab even just by being a Muslim, which makes you Arab. These are scythians( today called Persians, Turks, Syrians, Iranians), Greco-Roman, Greco-Macedonians, Yugoslavia, Bulgarian, and albanians. They are A.D. people, not B.C., they are Eurasians, not arabs.

Blessings to you @NickyGlover-oe5zd. I want to point out something to add to your statement. Feeling a connection with someone is only part of the reality of family. The other part is action. How do you act toward that person you feel affiliated with? How do they act toward you? If those two things are positive, then you can consider yourselves family. If action is not experienced, then it’s just admiration. Once again, blessings to you.

This really shouldn't be a shock. There is a long historical ethnic tie to all three. People love to only look at the Arab looking Moroccans without actually looking at a map and seeing that there are people who look like many people in Mali, Niger, and Burkina. Hopefully this will have Black Africans look more into what's really going on in Morocco, Mauritania, and Algeria.
