Hey Klaus, thanks for stopping by. The channel concept is "entertaining stories with the theme of wine". I try to mix it up, visits to vineyards, funny stories, and high value content like the "facts about wine" series. Thanks you for the lovely comment! Cheers :D

Our dear Annabelle / @winescribble. It's great that you have shared with us your experience from (Château) @ktima_gerolemo. Great wines, with a promising international future. I am sure you have noticed that Charis and the rest of the Château's members, are not only wine makers/lovers but also amazing musicians and artists. Looking forward for your next episode....

Indeed it is clear to even a casual observer than the family who own Ktima Gerolemo are very artistic. Their winery is absolutely beautiful and no detail has been left to chance. I do know that the two daughters of the family are very talented musicians and musical evenings are often held at the winery. I hope to attend one of these events soon! Thank you for all your support! It's an honour to count you among my viewers!

Excellent content again! I'm a huge fan of Gerolemo, the 2019 Xynisteri is like an Alvarinho (was in the blind tasting test and i called Alvarinho from Vinho Verde). The Riesling is exceptional and i'm ageing a 2016 Maratheftiko to drink in 2025-26. Awesome winery with high quality wines!

Laszlo Kovacs Yes! I agree! I love wines by Ktima Gerolemo. They are superb! I might take your professional tip and try to age my 2016 Maratheftiko too! Thanks for the inspiration!

Great video! Is it easy to get to this winery from Limassol?
@WineScribble6 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. the winery is less than half an hour's drive from Limassol. It's well signposted, with plenty of parking. The winery is beautiful and the wines are excellent! Well worth a short drive up the hills! 👍🍷❤️

Nope, not as yet Annabelle. Looking forward to my first journey into the higher hills and vines of Cyprus next year hopefully! Are there any established trekking routes between Cyprus’s wineries to date or is it four wheels all the way?
@WineScribble6 жыл бұрын
There are seven established wine routes on the island. Most of them are in Limassol, but all are worth exploring. I would say that you need a car to efficiently cover an entire route. But a Route such as the Krasochoria of Limassol route, that is peppered with a fair few wineries all hidden under the canopy of the Troodos forest, would probably be quite pleasant to partially explore on foot too!

Hi Annabelle! Thumbs up for yet another amazing winery presentation! 😍 How did the variety name come about? Cause "Morocanella" translates to "baby cinammon" if i am not mistaken! Please shed some light; you are the one to trust with wine related questions that do not lead anywhere close to an answer even if you Google it! 😁🤗🍷🍷🍷
Hi Vassilis! Nobody knows for sure. Moro-means baby. This might be due to the fact that the berries of this variety are quite small. The second half of the name-kanella menas cinnamon. This variety ripens quickly and the accumilation of sugar turns the golden berries to the colour of cinammon. And this might be the reason we call it Morokanella. Cheers!!!

@@ktimagerolemo3369 Thanks you! 🍷

Wow! That's great information. So the name might be linked to the fact that the grapes look like the have been dusted with cinnamon when they ripen. That's really quite romantic. Thank you for sharing!
