Amazing madam. I studied morphemes in my college but it being an open university, there'd be no classes held and it'd put tremendous burden on me to study them alone, plus I didn't quite make out what my eyes were going through. Needless to say, final marks corresponded to that murkiness and my mark sheet didn't seem as lively to receive them but seeing your class, my interpretation of them has changed and a once despicable item has become quite beloved. Now I'm going on your website to practice some of these to satiate my hunger for them Thank madam from the core of my heart....

Flower= flow+ er 2morphemes is it correct or not?
@engpot
@engpot 3 жыл бұрын
'Flower' is a one morpheme word since 'er,' in this word does not perform any grammatical function whereas there are 2 morphemes in the the word Hunter. 'Hunt' and 'er'. 'Er' in this word converts the verb 'hunt' to noun. Hence ' Er' here has a grammatical function.

Does any one explain morpheme from morphology
@anitakumari9055
@anitakumari9055 4 жыл бұрын
It seems like morpheme is very similar to syllables.............I might be wrong..........
@engpot
@engpot 4 жыл бұрын
Yes Anita, morphemes are often confused with syllables. A morpheme is the smallest meaningful unit and a syllable is a unit of speech with a vowel sound. Eg. In the word ANIMAL , there is only one morpheme but 3 syllables where as in TEACHER, there are 2 morphemes and 2 syllables
