Omg I absolutely love this video! Gotta be one of my new favorites from this channel, and even videos in general! The way he just adores and cherishes each and every oyster is so sweet and genuine. The only other time I've seen him take a moment for his meal is also on my favorites list: Pepperoni pizza with Sam Adams... I've seen that video like 20 times maybe. In North America, in general east coast oysters are briny-tasting, like salt water. West coast tend to be sweeter and plumper. Many people like to top them with Tabasco or horseradish or cocktail sauce. Some eat them plain. I'd say it's an acquired taste since the texture is not for everyone. But once you acquire that taste, you'll get that craving every so often for the rest of your life. Personally, I'm an east coast briney guy. Love em with beer!

I grew up in Minnesota but live in Boston now, there are companies that will overnight them to you from the east coast, including the shucking knife! Try real oyster cult or Maine oyster company. Even with the shipping they aren’t that expensive and it’s fun to pick and try different oyster farms, they all taste so different depending on the sea water inside.

@@e.b.1607 they don’t taste like scallops. It’s like briny sea water, so cold and fresh and the oyster just Carries the delicious taste down your throat because you don’t chew them. The sauce I like to add has different vinegars and somehow that enhances the flavor so much. Literally one of the only foods I crave. Sorry for the ramble, Tom made me want some so badly lol

Louisiana Oysters are like amazing raw and no sauce but i however still put ghost pepper sauce or tabasco sauce on it for flavor but we out of stock on oysters at the seafood shop so now all we do is have crawfish and clams love your videos i watch these when im currently dealing with a sickness this is like heaven to me seeing others eat oysters and enjoying them cause back when i was young at 16 or 17 i never liked raw oysters now im 21 an eat them raw or cooked delicious in both ways thanks for making these videos you the best :)
