Thank you do much for keeping Morphine's music alive. There never had been, nor will there ever be such gorgeous, intelligent music and I am so grateful I was alive to hear it and see that glorious band. I spent years in and around Central Square, Cambridge, and at the Middle East Restaurant and at the clubs upstairs and downstairs, as well as T. T.'s around the corner. I remember Morphine played at one of the glittering Carribean Festival Parades in the mid-nineties. Afterward, I talked briefly with Mark and told him how he kinda looked like John Hammond in his cowboy-style light pink shirt. He sheepishly said something like 'he was not that handsome'. Sadly, I also attended his New Orleans-style funeral outside the Middle East where Peter Wolf and other musicians played in sad tribute. That was also the day that corner was dedicated "Mark Sandman Square" and his parents were there celebrating his life. 😢 For the last few months I have been on a Morphine-listening jag. I am struck anew how much women are respected for their intelligence, age and honest sexuality. Thank you, Morphine. ❤
