Hey guys. I stumbled onto this video and am now subscribed! I just love what you guys are doing. I'm 40 now and for the longest time we've been trying to get the young generations involved in historic vehicles in India. We opened our city's first historic vehicle club in 2017 and are now 150 member strong, with atleast 30% of the members being under 30. I think your vlogs are extremely important and as one of you said in one of the vids, it's extremely important that people your age are given access to these great pieces of history for our community to grow and survive well into the future. I've watched all your vlogs over the last 2 days and I'm eagerly waiting for more. Keep going & greetings from Classic Drivers Club in India!

I have a 1932 Morris Minor Two-seater that the Eight replaced for 1935 (introduced at the 1934 Motor Show). I'll be driving the Minor 180 miles to Suffolk tomorrow. It's going to take most of the day.

I passed my driving test in one in 1967 and did thousands of miles back then they were very common on the road and you could buy a nice one for £100. 40mpg hydraulic brakes vastly ahead of its time in the mid 30s . That is a bargain .

Very nice video with much attractive small car. The car is like a smiling bug. The colour and general condition is well. Hope that smb, who will buy it, will have great experience of ownership and driving it.

The inspiration for this car was the Ford 8 Model Y that was introduced in 1932. Leonard Lord the MD of Morris Motors quite rightly saw that car as a threat to Morris Motors that had the Morris Minor as the opposition. So Lord bought a Ford 8 and this was taken apart and measured in every detail. The result was a crib of the Ford 8 but a much more sophisticated design. It may come as a surprise that the Morris 8 engine owes a lot in its design to the Ford! However, the stylish Morris proved a big hit against the American styled Ford and was a much larger car than the outgoing Morris Minor.

Hi guys, awesome video! I have just purchased a 1938 Morris 14 / 6 series 3. You should see if you can find one there in the UK ( I am in Australia) from my research there is only 11 in the world. Amazing car for its time. Would love to send you some photos! Keep up the great work guys..

£8,000 ? A road worthy example could be bought for less than £20 in the early 70s. Nice to see the younger generation getting involved.

Brilliant guys. Love Alistair’s cravat. Those little mirrors, on either side of the windscreen top, are called “budgie mirrors” because they look like those in a budgie cage and you use them to check the traficators are working. I wonder if the sellers will put it in a padded post bag and send it to me in Australia. 😜

Great video and well driven lads , on KZbin if you want a laugh find ' Your Driving Test ' narrated by Sir Malcolm Campbell from 1935.If I may say your comments were extremely wise about driving a car such as the Morris on public roads , antcipation requires so much more thought and care but the rewards are great. For very little outlay , you can seek far more attention than any modern supercar if that's your thing , insurance is reasonable, no depreciation and learn basic engineering skills which will remain with you for a lifetime. There were huge advances in automotive engineering in the 30s over the lovely early Austin 7 you drove , mainly synchromesh gears and the Morris boasted hydraulic brakes .

I am fairly sure that it isn't a Series 1. The hood ornament is wrong for that. I believe this car is a late pre-series Morris eight. And not a Morris 8 Series 1. If it was a Series 1 the hood ornament would have a red circle with an 8 in the middle. But this has the older style of the pre-series cars.
