The jam! This came out when I was a freshman in high school. During lunch time on Fridays, we had DJs spinning during lunch...oh man when this song came on...erebody was gettin it in. I'm talking mid stream while walking we would freeze, drop our books, and break in to getting our groove on. Teachers would pass us by laughing or shaking their heads at us LOL... Wow, we were really lucky back then to have such great music! Miss those days...

Color of Success Lyrics [Verse 1] Patience gone Time to move along No one to blame It is time to win Don't criticize Try to realize I am number one in the end, oh, I [Chorus] Play to win That's the color, the color of success I play to win, oh, I Play to win There's no other, color of success I play to win, oh, I [Verse 2] Free as a bird It is time to spread the word Dark weather's gone The sun is shining First, understand I'm not your typical man Shrewd, I'm the kind You can't deny me, oh, I [Chorus] Play to win That's the color, the color of success I play to win, oh, I Play to win There is no other, color of success I play to win, oh, I [Interlude] And the cow was returned to its rightful owner In today's entertainment news, Morris Day Famous singer of that popular rock group Won't be saying "What time is it?" anymore As you know, the group is no longer together The question that most people seem to be asking Is "What will Morris do now?" What am I gon' do? (Play) Color of success Color of success [Chorus] Play to win That's the color, the color of success I play to win, oh, I Play to win There is no other, color of success I play to win, oh, I [Verse 3] Don't take me wrong by the words of my song Bitterness gone, it's behind me Fresh, picturesque at my very best Gracefully strong, and proud to be me, oh [Interlude] Topping the hour's news, this music update What seemingly had turned to stone for Morris Day has turned to gold Or even Platinum once again As he takes on his new life pursuing a solo career Which includes records and movies Hm, the future is indeed bright for Morris [Chorus] Play to win That's the color, the color of success I play to win, oh, I Play to win There is no other, color of success I play to win, oh, I [Post-Chorus] If I wanna make love sometimes It's alright, it's my life I play to win, oh I If I wanna get crazy sometimes It's alright, it's my life I play to win, I If I wanna make love sometimes It's alright, it's my life I play to win, oh I If I wanna get crazy sometimes It's alright, it's my life And I play to win, I, I, I [Refrain] If I wanna make love sometimes It's alright, it's my life I play to win, oh I If I wanna get crazy sometimes It's alright, it's my life I play to win, I, I [Outro] If I wanna make love sometimes It's alright, it's my life It's my life If I wanna get crazy sometimes It's alright, it's my life It's my life If I wanna make love sometimes It's alright, it's my life If I wanna get crazy sometimes It's alright, it's my life
