Don't need a lift. I took mine out a couple of times. Plank across the wings, bit of rope to tie engine to plank, and a helper to lift one end of the plank while I lifted the other. I was young and fit in those days.

I don't have a plank or rope but I do have a handy engine crane. I'll stick with that 🤣

Oh by the way, the trick to not wrestling it out is to loosen one of the front mounting towers from the chassis, I wish someone had told be that first too.

I did start loosening those towers but the bolts weren't playing nice so gave up and wrestled

Bumper nuts are Whitworth (I think 1/2 Whitworth) as are most of the fixings on the body of the Minor, Engine is mostly AF (apart from the engine mount to engine bay nuts and bolts.

They sure are but I'm used to VWs and Audis so don't have too many suitable tools. I'm sure I will have plenty of new tools by the end of the project
