Welcome back to another Video... Recently i completed a pole over on my instagram and ask you all what you would like to see more of, and one of the most requested videos was "how i feed my family for £30 or less per week".
In 2022, my goal is to film every Surplus food box/bag i buy via the Too good to Go app. Too good to go is a surplus food app that connects retailers with surplus food to consumers that want to purchase that surplus food. personally i have been using the app for years now to reduce my food bill.
Every day, delicious, fresh food goes to waste at cafes, restaurants, hotels, shops and manufacturers - just because it hasn’t sold in time. My local Morrisons are back on after a few years break. I had got one before and it was rubbish but I thought after seeing yours things might have improved. I had 6 items and 2 of those were mashed turnips. I think I will give them a miss from now on. I’m so jealous of yours 😁

I got one box from our local Morrisons about 10 days ago and we got 9 items which we were pleased with but some of the items had 5 days left before going out of date and only one item was a day out of date. None of the food you got doesn't look like its going bad and most likely probably not going out of date. The point of the app is to stop food that is starting to go bad or a few days out of date going to waste and no be given food that can still be sold at normal price . Your so lucky with your boxes xx

I collected and filmed this box on 22/02/2022 and almost every item I got was either best before of used by the 22nd..I have in the past had veg and herbs that were past their best before date.

It can be really hit or miss with these boxes I find. I've had some proper shockers in the past. I've been really lucky with my last few.

i got two boxes from morrisons the other day we got all fruit and most off the fruit had been opened i don't know if i would get them again it was mainly grapes we got, i would love to know how you get so much

Theres no method for how I get my boxes. Ive got 2 Morrisons that are about the same distance just opposite direction and I alternate between them..I have had some really rubbish ones in the past but so far this year I've been pretty lucky.

HI Ethan, I've done a bit of a trial run with my local Morrisons and found my best days are Tuesday. Id definitely recommend ordering on different days to see which is best in your area. 😃
