When he sticks to singing his magnificent songs - and this is a great mix of old and new - and a bit of droll patter, he puts on a fine show, even with voice a bit on the hoarse side. Wonderful gothic finale too! All that playing with his jacket is terrifying though... any moment you expect, "Ohhhh, tooooo cooold..." and a rush from the stage. Is Italy still on his black list or will he make it back one day?
@julianaferrone87342 жыл бұрын
Ah the finale.... Crash into my arms... interesting you said gothic. How did you find that to be?
@SpudWil2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if you mean, “Why did I think that?”, or “What did I think of it?” but, I suppose, a) Lots of billowing, blood-flushed London-fog-like dry ice, “Jack the ripper”, Moz on his knees doing sort of Nosferatu clawing motions… b) Well, highly effective, given that he’s not generally given to on-stage theatrics, apart from the ongoing anguished psychodrama of his own self-generated misunderstandings…

I don't dig Morrissey's music but I appreciate he has his own style and is a man of independent thought. And I find the fan adoration of him to be really interesting. So I have to say, it's degusting that he would have a suicide themed video wash over the clearly impressionable fans at the end of his show.
@julianaferrone87342 жыл бұрын
Which is the video. He shows us that we are all damned in some ways ...but not beyond redemption. Some half intelligent folks get it
@NewsRedial2 жыл бұрын
@@julianaferrone8734 Some folks love to believe themselves intelligent. But if they were then they would know that a lot of unstable, emotional, impressionable types follow Morrissey and to show them a looped video of a guy committing suicide is a pretty stupid and irresponsible thing to do. I'm sure YOU are waaaay too intelligent to be subliminally influenced by that video. But you are clearly not intelligent to recognise that some people will be and will act on it.

Which video was that. I saw images of Jesus, David Bowie, Marilyn other cultural icons. But what he forgot to mention was the contribution of Warhol's factory lol

Not true. Like the hair bands of the 80”s. They swore it was polluting and telling kids what to do. Influential, yes.
