Been following Morrisey since he appeared first time as lead singer for the punk band "the nose bleeds". Was at college when the smiths were knocking out their tunes to the Manchester masses, slowly slowly the smiths got their nationwide cult following. Saw Morrisey lots of times but the last time in Vegas in November 2011. Great to see he has a great US and Mexican following, there was a time about 2000-2003 he couldn't get a record contract. Small minded record companies were never going to stop talent like this. Bravo Morrisey !

Morrissey needs to revamp those tired projections. Just recycled footage year after year. It was nice to see Alan Whyte with him again.
@razor65522 жыл бұрын
I didn't like him until I heard "How soon is Now?" on a compilation CD. I heard bits of songs and occasionally full songs on the radio. But I wasn't impressed. I thought he was weepy and pretentious. How Soon is Now? is so good that I had to say to myself..."wait a minute". My wife bought The Your Arsenal album and I figured out that he has a dark sarcastic sense of humor. The album is so good, that I had to look at it to see if it was a greatest hits. Now that so many people hate him, it makes me a bigger fan, because the haters haven't looked into what he said that sparked the controversy. I don't like everything a band or musician says, but I still like their music. Haters gonna hate, it don't change the fact that he's very talented.
@USCTrojan201310 ай бұрын
To my dismay, the Smiths broke up in 1987 JUST AS I was getting into them..10 shows and a hand shake later..no complaints. I knew Your Arsenal & YATQ were gold as they hit the shelves..

@thedmo84372 жыл бұрын
He didn't make it this time. Gotta say this is the best lineup I've heard. I saw the Smiths twice (MIM & TQID), and even with Craig Gannon How Soon Is Now was a big disappointment both times in otherwise spectacular (if brief, ahem) concerts. I didn't go for one song, but I LOVED that song. I thought Morrissey's delivery improved as much as the instrumentation. At 62, he is "still the son and heir..." and that's quite different than when sung at 25, isn't it? (Not that that part is too be taken quite literally.) The fact he can still make the song resound across generations of fans (and or own decades of life) is quite impressive and a highlight for me. TLDR Loved Boz, had nothing but praise for this lineup.
