Really find Morrissey interesting, im halfway through his autobiography, a really good read, im not surprised he doesn't have many friends, as many folk along the way have taken advantage of him, in the early days of the smiths especially, i have a lot of respect for this charming man.

I met this charming man recently in Chorley and we had breakfast together in a Holiday Inn. He ate very sparingly and was more interested in the piece of knitting he was trying to finish. He extolled the virtues of moleskin trousers, despaired of people who love golf and football and left his tea untouched.

I saw him in Australia when just Morrissey toured. Small club and he was incredibly charismatic, sexy and funny. He ad libed the crowd and it was like watching your cousin do karoke. I think he lives in California now but it was nice to hear he misses old blighty....even day feels like Sunday....he perfectly reminisces about what the 60s was like. He and Robert Smith from The Cure were my touchstones. If I had to choose, Robert would win. He's so cheeky and smart but his musical taste is pretty outthere and I loce that. But Morrissey got me into books and art and philosophy. Glad I missed punk so we could do goth, post punk, new romantics and 80s synth nuwave. I'm enjoying The Weeknd touching all of that period from Souxsie, Tears for Fears, John Lennon amongst others. It's all cool again....kids are lucky to have it again.

I grew up in the same area as Morrissey in Stretford, I even attended the same secondary school as him (although not at the same time) he has a slightly posher Stretfordian accent, with a slight Irish lilt, however in the 70s & 80s a large majority of people in Stretford had Irish Catholic roots.

He still has a following and always will because he is incredibly talented, true to himself and writes meaningful songs. It's fine for you not to be a fan you must have something better to do than comment on a KZbin video of someone you don't like? It's quite pathetic.
