This version of Southpaw has helped me through so many lonely nights. Laying in my bed trying to understand what was going on with my mind and body, why I wasn't like the other boys. It's been such a huge comfort.

Not sure if you are aware but as of 2021/2022 Whyte is back in the fold again! Not the next lp Bonfire of teenagers which is coming out as soon as Moz gets another record deal but Moz has said he started writing with Whyte again and already has a bunch of other new songs written with Whyte for the next record after Bonfire. Whyte also played at Morrissey’s last residency in Las Vegas last year. His first time back in the band in well over ten years!

Thank you for this amazing peice of work. I have loved and lived for Steven Patrick Francis Morrissey since 1986, when I turned 16, was in a car accident and became the reason/inspiration behind the song "Girlfriend In A Coma". I AM now 50 and I still think He is completely amazing!!! I LOVE YOU STEVEN PATRICK FRANCIS MORRISSEY 👑🤪😜🥰👑!!!

Interesting. I spent dull days in Denver, CO back in the 80's hoping Morrissey would rescue me from the sterile suburban Colorado isolation & misery. ( in the 80's Denver sucked bad). depressing Winters with no signs of real humanity living about. Doldrums. I was 16 in 1986 as well. Graduated high school in 1988. Saw my first "Smiths" concert. September 1986, Boulder, COLORADO USA. Cheers! Thank-you. Goodnight...

These demos are new for me. Very well done and much more melodic than the Southpaw Grammar we all know. The expanded reissues of that and Maladjusted are my all-time fave Moz albums, but I do like this very much. Hypnotic and more vocal space, indeed.

I implore you to listen to some full length interviews with Morrissey because you will find unedited untouched interviews with proper journalists are intelligent, charming, thoughtful and very well informed. If you've loved him in the past it was for a reason, don't rely on the crap that is spread online, it's often out of context ... if he does speak out of line (like on animal slaughter and abuse such as the chinese skinning dogs alive ... I've seen photos and I'm tellin' ya it's so sickening you can see the terror in their eyes) I can forgive him for saying something out of line and in the moment because stuff like that makes him angry, he's human, he makes mistakes like every one else. The gutter press in the UK loves to character assassinate. Do your own homework, As Moz said "why don't you find out for yourself"
@NickSBailey2 жыл бұрын
that's exactly what turned me against him hearing his own words not second hand reinterpretations, he's change with age and it's a pity but it happens that's life
