I've sitten here for the last 1½ hour listening to all the different versions posted (i became interested after seeing We Were Soldiers yesterday, and i must admit that this version conveys the respect, honor and sadness the best... I think my body is tired of generating goosebumps all the time from hearing this beautiful hymn.

My heart is in Swansea too, Manselton, many of my uncles and cousins sang in the Morriston Orpheus Choir. I've lived in Australia 53 years, I still miss the singing, CDs are just not the same.

I am from Berlin and I am impressed by this song, I'm sorry for what happened, sorry. My father was out there in Russia and in France fighting and he died a peacefull death seven years ago having enjoyed a nice pension. He was'nt a Nazi, just a soldier like many others, but I am sorry and now my mother lives in Wales.
