A relaxing first day of spring walk on a cloudy Sunday morning in Morristown, New Jersey. In this POV walking tour we’ll take a stroll around the Morristown Green and along South Street as we view the historic buildings, old churches, monuments, shops, restaurants and storefronts in this 300+ year old town that played a pivotal roll in the forming of the United States of America. Turn on Closed Caption subtitles to read description and historical facts about what we will be seeing. Filmed in 4K on March 20, 2022.

Grew up in Morristown in the '70s, so this walk covered many of the places I passed on my daily walk to school. Some buildings facing the Green have been modernized but it mostly looks the same. There were only 3 or 4 restaurants in the entire town back then and no fast food, people didn't eat out as much.

I love Morristown. I grew up nearby and it is where I met my wife…. St. Peter’s was the church where my kids were christened.

Left New Vernon (and NJ) in August 1973; totally forgot we had had our own "Notre Dame" blaze, at the church in 1972; heard Jerry Rubin campaigning for George McGovern that summer, and helped stuff thousands of envelopes for George in the week or month after... Bought our tickets for the huge 1973 Watkins Glen Summer Jam concert, at the little record store just down a few doors on the road towards MHS 😍

How so? With the exception of some condos on one side the the Green, it hasn’t changed to my eyes. I am talking structures.
