The way I look at it, there are easier ways to heat water/food, why make it more difficult. I've seen lot of weird and wonderful methods systems and what do I do now?.........pot on coals.......because its easier, or at most a tripod.

This is a tripod though. pot on coals is fine but if you do it long enough with the thinner pots like most of us use you'll wear through them. this takes all of 30 secs to make.
